Today, if you will hear His voice:“ Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness,When your fathers tested Me; They tried Me, though they saw My work.For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said,‘ It is a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’So I swore in My wrath,‘ They shall not enter My rest.’”

while it is said:“ Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

again He designates a certain day, saying in David,“ Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said:“ Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.”

“ Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways!

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

but exhort one another daily, while it is called“ Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.For He says:“ In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

“ But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me.

For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.Instead you ought to say,“ If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”

So when they did not agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had said one word:“ The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,
