Today, if you hear His voice:Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah, as on that day at Massah in the wildernesswhere your fathers tested Me; they tried Me, though they had seen what I did.For 40 years I was disgusted with that generation; I said,“ They are a people whose hearts go astray; they do not know My ways.”So I swore in My anger,“ They will not enter My rest.”

As it is said: Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.

Pay attention and come to Me; listen, so that you will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the promises assured to David.

Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me.

again, He specifies a certain day— today— speaking through David after such a long time, as previously stated: Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.

If only My people would listen to Me and Israel would follow My ways,

My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.

But encourage each other daily, while it is still called today, so that none of you is hardened by sin’s deception.
