To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient?

又向谁起誓，不容他们进入他的安息呢？岂不是向那些不信从的人吗？

又向誰起誓，不容他們進入他的安息呢？豈不是向那些不信從的人嗎？

他又向誰起誓說，他們絕對不可以進入他的安息呢？不就是向那些不順從的人嗎？

他向誰起誓說、他們必不得以進入他的安息呢？豈不是向那些硬不信從的人是向誰呢？

他又向誰起誓說，他們絕不能進入他的安息呢？難道不是向那些不肯信從的人嗎？

又誓之不得入其安息者誰耶、非不順從者乎、

上帝誓之、不許享其安息者誰、非不信之徒乎、

天主誓之、不許享其安息者誰、非違背違背或作不信之人乎、

天主所誓：「不令入吾安寧」者、又誰耶？非心懷狐疑之諸悖逆乎？

And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?

God promised that those people would never enjoy the rest he planned for them. God gave his word when he made that promise. Didn’t he make that promise to those who didn’t obey?

And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient?

And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him?

And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, if not to those who disobeyed?

And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient?

And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey?

And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that were disobedient?

And who did He swear to that they would not enter His rest, if not those who disobeyed?

For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.

Yahweh heard the voice of your words and was angry, and swore, saying,“ Surely not one of these men of this evil generation shall see the good land which I swore to give to your fathers,

surely they shall not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither shall any of those who despised me see it.

Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter into it, and they to whom the good news was preached before failed to enter in because of disobedience,

surely you shall not come into the land concerning which I swore that I would make you dwell therein, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ How long will this people despise me? and how long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have worked among them?

Yet you wouldn’t go up, but rebelled against the commandment of Yahweh your God.You murmured in your tents, and said,“ Because Yahweh hated us, he has brought us out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites to destroy us.Where are we going up? Our brothers have made our heart melt, saying,‘ The people are greater and taller than we. The cities are great and fortified up to the sky. Moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there!’”Then I said to you,“ Don’t be terrified. Don’t be afraid of them.Yahweh your God, who goes before you, he will fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes,and in the wilderness where you have seen how that Yahweh your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went, until you came to this place.”Yet in this thing you didn’t believe Yahweh your God,

Yes, they despised the pleasant land. They didn’t believe his word,but murmured in their tents, and didn’t listen to Yahweh’s voice.Therefore he swore to them that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,

Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron,“ Because you didn’t believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

When Yahweh sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying,“ Go up and possess the land which I have given you,” you rebelled against the commandment of Yahweh your God, and you didn’t believe him or listen to his voice.

As I swore in my wrath,‘ They will not enter into my rest.’”
