上帝向誰發怒四十年之久呢？豈不是那些犯罪而陳屍在曠野的人嗎？

神四十年之久，又厌烦谁呢？岂不是那些犯罪、尸首倒在旷野的人吗？

四十年之久惹上帝发怒的是谁呢？不就是那些犯罪作恶并倒毙在旷野的人吗？

四十年之久，神向谁发怒呢？不就是向那些犯了罪陈尸旷野的人吗？

神又向谁发怒了四十年之久呢？难道不是那些犯了罪、尸首倒在旷野的人吗？

神四十年之久，又厭煩誰呢？豈不是那些犯罪、屍首倒在曠野的人嗎？

神向誰發怒四十年之久呢？豈不是那些犯罪而陳屍在曠野的人嗎？

四十年之久惹上帝發怒的是誰呢？不就是那些犯罪作惡並倒斃在曠野的人嗎？

四十年之久，神向誰發怒呢？不就是向那些犯了罪陳屍曠野的人嗎？

上帝四十年厭惡誰呢？豈不是那些犯了罪、屍首倒在曠野的人麼？

神又向誰發怒了四十年之久呢？難道不是那些犯了罪、屍首倒在曠野的人嗎？

又四十年彼所不悅者誰耶、非干罰而屍仆於野者乎、

上帝於四十載中憾誰、非犯罪而暴骨於野者乎、

天主於四十年間怒誰、非犯罪而屍仆於曠野者乎、

天主所謂：「厭惡斯代、垂四十春」者、又誰耶？非多行不義、卒至暴屍曠野者乎？

And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness?

Who was God angry with for 40 years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned? They died in the desert.

And with whom was he provoked for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness?

With whom was God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness?

Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?

And with whom was he displeased forty years? was it not with them that sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

And who was He provoked with for 40 years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

But with whom was he grieved forty years?[ was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

And against whom was God provoked for forty years? Was it not those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness?

With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

你們的屍體必倒在這曠野中。你們中間被數點，凡二十歲以上向我發怨言的，

這一切的事，你們雖然知道，我卻仍要提醒你們：從前主只一次就救了他的百姓出埃及地，後來卻把那些不信的滅絕了。

你當說，耶和華如此說：人的屍首必倒在田野像糞土，又像收割的人身後遺落的禾稼，無人拾取。

至於你們，你們的屍體必倒在這曠野中；你們的兒女必在曠野遊牧四十年，擔當你們不信的罪，直到你們的屍體在曠野消滅為止。

這些人雖然都看過我的榮耀和我在埃及與曠野所行的神蹟，仍然這十次試探我，不聽從我的話，

這些被數的人中，沒有一個是摩西和亞倫祭司先前在西奈曠野所數的以色列人，因為耶和華論到他們說：「他們必死在曠野。」所以，除了耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞以外，他們一個也沒有存留。

耶和華的手也攻擊他們，將他們從營中除滅，直到滅盡。「百姓中所有的戰士滅盡死亡以後，

弟兄們，我不願意你們不知道，我們的祖宗從前都在雲下，都從海中經過，都在雲裏、海裏受洗歸了摩西，並且都吃了一樣的靈糧，也都喝了一樣的靈水，所喝的是出於跟隨着他們的靈磐石；那磐石就是基督。但他們中間多半是上帝不喜歡的人，所以倒斃在曠野裏了。這些事都是我們的鑒戒，使我們不要貪戀惡事，像他們貪戀過的一樣。也不要拜偶像，像他們中有些人曾經拜過。如經上所記：「百姓坐下吃喝，起來玩樂。」我們也不可犯姦淫，像他們中有些人曾經犯過，一天就倒斃了二萬三千人。也不可試探主，像他們中有些人曾試探主就被蛇咬死。你們也不可發怨言，像他們中有些人曾經發過，就被毀滅者所滅。這些事發生在他們身上，要作為鑒戒，而且寫下來正是要警戒我們這末世的人。所以，自以為站得穩的人必須謹慎，免得跌倒。你們所受的考驗無非是人所承受得了的。上帝是信實的，他不會讓你們遭受無法承受的考驗，在受考驗的時候，總會給你們開一條出路，讓你們能忍受得了。
