故凡事宜如兄弟、得於上帝之事、為矜恤忠信之大祭司、為民罪作挽回之祭、

故當凡事同於兄弟、為矜恤忠信之祭司長、以事上帝、而贖民罪、

因此、彼不得不與眾兄弟儘量同化、俾在天主臺前、得充一忠心耿耿、富於同情之大司祭且為萬民之罪、而自獻為消怒之犧牲。

孩子们既然同有血肉之体，他自己也照样成为血肉之体，为要藉着死，消灭那掌握死权的魔鬼，

反而倒空自己，取了奴仆的形象，成为人的样式；既然有人的样子，就自甘卑微，顺服至死，而且死在十字架上。

“为你的同胞和你的圣城，已经定了七十个七，要结束过犯，终止罪恶，遮盖罪孽，引进永义，封住异象和预言，并且膏抹至圣所（“至圣所”或译：“至圣者”）。

这样的一位大祭司，对我们本是合适的。他是圣洁、没有邪恶、没有玷污、从罪人中分别出来、高过众天的。

君王要在节期、月朔、安息日，就是在以色列家一切规定的节日上，奉上燔祭、素祭和奠祭。他要预备赎罪祭、素祭、燔祭和平安祭，为以色列家赎罪。”

祭司宰了公山羊，把血洒在祭坛上作赎罪祭，为所有以色列人赎罪；因为王曾经吩咐要为所有以色列人献上燔祭和赎罪祭。

摩西不过是个仆人，在神的全家尽忠，为以后要传讲的事作证；

从以色列肥沃的草场上，每二百只羊中要献一只羊羔。这些供物要作素祭、燔祭和平安祭，为他们赎罪。这是主耶和华的宣告。

公义必作他腰间的带子，信实必作他胁下的带子。

他忠于那位委派他的，好像摩西在神的全家尽忠一样。

但是任何赎罪祭，如果它的血带进了会幕在圣所内进行赎罪，祭肉就不可吃；必须用火烧尽。”

虽然你们从前也是和神隔绝，心思上与他为敌，行为邪恶，

因为那位使人成圣的，和那些得到成圣的，同是出于一个源头；所以他称他们为弟兄也不以为耻。

基督既然藉着十字架消灭了仇恨，就藉着十字架使双方与神和好，成为一体，

这一切都是出于神，他藉着基督使我们与他自己和好，并且把这和好的职分赐给我们，就是神在基督里使世人与他自己和好，不再追究他们的过犯，并且把和好的道理托付了我们。因此，我们就是基督的使者，神藉着我们劝告世人。我们代替基督请求你们：跟神和好吧！神使那无罪的替我们成为有罪的，使我们在他里面成为神的义。

我们作仇敌的时候，尚且藉着神儿子的死与他复和，既然复和了，就更要因他的生得救了！

正月初七日，你也要为犯了误杀罪的或因愚蒙而犯罪的人这样行，为圣殿赎罪。

所以，在神的事上，我在基督耶稣里倒有可以引以为荣的。

律法所立的大祭司，都是软弱的人；可是在律法以后，用誓言所立的儿子，却是成为完全直到永远的。

摩西就宰杀公牛，取了血，用指头抹祭坛四角的周围，洁净祭坛，其余的血倒在祭坛脚那里，使祭坛成圣，为坛赎罪。
