For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.

夫天主乃萬物之所歸、萬物之所始也；既欲藉其聖子、以登其眾子於光榮之域、則其以憂戚苦難磨練眾子之救主、以玉之於成、不亦宜乎？

In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.

God has made everything. He is now bringing his many sons and daughters to share in his glory. It is only right that Jesus is the one to lead them into their salvation. That’s because God made him perfect by his sufferings.

God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.

For in bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God— for whom and through whom all things exist— should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the originator of their salvation through sufferings.

God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things were created through him and for him.And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,

For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.

so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

“ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,

Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said,“ It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

“ Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight

and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.

So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed:

and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry,“ Abba! Father!”The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,and if children, then heirs— heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

And he said,“ No; but I am the commander of the army of the Lord. Now I have come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped and said to him,“ What does my lord say to his servant?”And the commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua,“ Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.

But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.

in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory—

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

He who opens the breach goes up before them; they break through and pass the gate, going out by it. Their king passes on before them, the Lord at their head.

Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?”

The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.

It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.

Though they hire allies among the nations, I will soon gather them up. And the king and princes shall soon writhe because of the tribute.

whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
