For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you,

Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle( in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder),

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

My son, let them not depart from your eyes— Keep sound wisdom and discretion;

Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.

Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,

How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.

And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:“ My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;

Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, And give attention to know understanding;For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law.When I was my father’s son, Tender and the only one in the sight of my mother,He also taught me, and said to me:“ Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commands, and live.

and He said to them:“ Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe— all the words of this law.For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.”

My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.

For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward,how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?

Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up?

See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying,“ Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.”

Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the Lord your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the Lord your God has forbidden you.

You are filled with shame instead of glory. You also— drink! And be exposed as uncircumcised! The cup of the LORD’s right hand will be turned against you, And utter shame will be on your glory.

“ Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.”

For indeed I am raising up the Chaldeans, A bitter and hasty nation Which marches through the breadth of the earth, To possess dwelling places that are not theirs.
