Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.And he brought them out and said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”So they said,“ Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.

The Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain;but when he arrived in Rome, he sought me out very zealously and found me.The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day— and you know very well how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus.

And they said to me,“ The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.”So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

Now Ebed-Melech the Ethiopian, one of the eunuchs, who was in the king’s house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon. When the king was sitting at the Gate of Benjamin,Ebed-Melech went out of the king’s house and spoke to the king, saying:“ My Lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon, and he is likely to die from hunger in the place where he is. For there is no more bread in the city.”Then the king commanded Ebed-Melech the Ethiopian, saying,“ Take from here thirty men with you, and lift Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon before he dies.”So Ebed-Melech took the men with him and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took from there old clothes and old rags, and let them down by ropes into the dungeon to Jeremiah.Then Ebed-Melech the Ethiopian said to Jeremiah,“ Please put these old clothes and rags under your armpits, under the ropes.” And Jeremiah did so.So they pulled Jeremiah up with ropes and lifted him out of the dungeon. And Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,

And the next day we landed at Sidon. And Julius treated Paul kindly and gave him liberty to go to his friends and receive care.

But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house.For indeed I was stolen away from the land of the Hebrews; and also I have done nothing here that they should put me into the dungeon.”
