所以，耶稣也在城门外受苦，为要用自己的血使百姓成圣。

故耶穌亦自殉於邑門之外、俾以其血聖化萬民。

他不用山羊和牛犊的血，而是用自己的血，只一次进入至圣所就获得了永远的赎罪。若山羊和公牛的血，以及母牛犊的灰，洒在不洁的人身上，尚且使人成圣，身体洁净，何况基督的血，他藉着永远的灵把自己无瑕疵地献给神，更能洗净我们的良心，除去致死的行为，好事奉那位永生的神。

把他推到城外，用石头打他。作见证的人把他们的衣裳放在一个名叫扫罗的青年脚前。

因那使人成圣的，和那些得以成圣的，都是出于一。为这缘故，他称他们为弟兄也不以为耻，

以水藉着道把教会洗净，使她成为圣洁，

他们戏弄完了，就给他脱了紫袍，又穿上他自己的衣服，带他出去，要把他钉十字架。有一个古利奈人西门，就是亚历山大和鲁孚的父亲，从乡下来，经过那地方，他们就强迫他同去，好背耶稣的十字架。他们带耶稣到了一个地方叫各各他（翻出来就是“髑髅地”），拿没药调和的酒给耶稣，他却不受。于是他们把他钉在十字架上，抽签分他的衣服，看谁得什么。

于是全会众把他带到营外，用石头打死他，是照耶和华所吩咐摩西的。

耶稣背着自己的十字架出来，到了一个地方，名叫“髑髅地”，希伯来话叫各各他。他们就在那里把他钉在十字架上，还有两个人和他一同被钉，一边一个，耶稣在中间。

从前你们中间也有人是这样；但现在你们奉主耶稣基督的名，并藉着我们神的灵，已经洗净，已经成圣，已经称义了。

于是，摩西吩咐以色列人，他们就把那诅咒的人带到营外，用石头打死。以色列人就照耶和华所吩咐摩西的做了。

所以，第一个约也是用血立的。因为摩西当日照着律法将各样诫命传给众百姓，就拿朱红色绒和牛膝草，把牛犊、山羊的血和水洒在书上，又洒在众百姓身上，

然而有一个士兵拿枪扎他的肋旁，立刻有血和水流出来。

约书亚和以色列众人把谢拉的曾孙亚干和那银子、那件外袍、那条金子，以及亚干的儿女、牛、驴、羊、帐棚，和他所有的，都带着上到亚割谷去。

更何况践踏神儿子的人，他们将那使他成圣之约的血当作不洁净，又亵慢施恩的圣灵的人，你们想，他不该受更严厉的惩罚吗？

我为他们的缘故使自己分别为圣，为要使他们也因真理成圣。
