Therefore, Jesus also suffered outside the gate, so that he might sanctify the people by his own blood.

故耶穌亦自殉於邑門之外、俾以其血聖化萬民。

They dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. And the witnesses laid their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.

So the entire community brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

Carrying the cross by himself, he went out to what is called Place of the Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha.There they crucified him and two others with him, one on either side, with Jesus in the middle.

And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

How much worse punishment do you think one will deserve who has trampled on the Son of God, who has regarded as profane the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

I sanctify myself for them, so that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
