且我生身之父懲我、我尚敬之、況諸神之父、不更宜服之以得生乎、

生我身之父責我、而我敬之、況賦我神之父、豈不當誠服以得永生乎、

生我身之父、懲我而我敬之、況賦畀我神之父、豈不更當服之以致得永生乎、

即吾人肉身之父、亦曾加吾人以訓責矣；而吾人猶孝之順之。矧在吾人靈心之父、不更當孝之順之、以邀永生乎？

Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever?

Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Besides, we have experienced discipline from our earthly fathers and we respected them; shall we not submit ourselves all the more to the Father of spirits and receive life?

This is what God, Yahweh, says— who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and life to those who walk on it—

Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.

‘ The one who dishonors his father or mother is cursed.’ And all the people will say,‘ Amen!’

The life of every living thing is in His hand, as well as the breath of all mankind.

Therefore, submit to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.

“ If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father or mother and doesn’t listen to them even after they discipline him,his father and mother must take hold of him and bring him to the elders of his city, to the gate of his hometown.They will say to the elders of his city,‘ This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he doesn’t obey us. He’s a glutton and a drunkard.’Then all the men of his city will stone him to death. You must purge the evil from you, and all Israel will hear and be afraid.

Lord, because of these promises people live, and in all of them is the life of my spirit as well; You have restored me to health and let me live.

Children, obey your parents as you would the Lord, because this is right.Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise,so that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life in the land.Fathers, don’t stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.

Father and mother are treated with contempt, and the foreign resident is exploited within you. The fatherless and widow are oppressed in you.

“ A son honors his father, and a servant his master. But if I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is your fear of Me? says Yahweh of Hosts to you priests, who despise My name.” Yet you ask:“ How have we despised Your name?”
