為了受管教，你們要忍受。神待你們如同待兒女。哪有兒女不被父親管教的呢？

你们所忍受的，是神管教你们，待你们如同待儿子。焉有儿子不被父亲管教的呢？

爾之忍乃為受懲、上帝待爾如子矣、焉有子而父不懲之者乎、

爾既受責、上帝待爾若子、焉有子而父不責之者乎、

爾若受懲、則是天主待爾如子、焉有父而不懲其子者乎、

是知爾所遭受之一切苦痛、所以予爾以磨練也。天主以爾為子、故待爾如此。夫焉有子而不蒙嚴訓者乎？

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?

Put up with hard times. God uses them to train you. He is treating you as his children. What children are not trained by their parents?

It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?

As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?

If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?

It is for chastening that ye endure; God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chasteneth not?

趁還有指望，管教你的兒子，不可執意摧毀他。

杖打和責備能增加智慧；任性的少年使母親羞愧。

不忍用杖打兒子的，是恨惡他；疼愛兒子的，勤加管教。

你心裏要知道，耶和華－你的神管教你，像人管教兒女一樣。

管教你的兒子，他就使你得安寧，也使你心裏喜樂。

不可不管教孩童，因為你用杖打他，他不會死。你用杖打他，就可以救他的性命免下陰間。

「有誰對神說：『我受了責罰，必不再犯罪；我所看不明的，求你指教我；我若行了不義，必不再行』？

耶和華堅立我，使我坐在父親大衛的王位上，照着他所應許的為我建立家室；現在我指着永生的耶和華起誓，亞多尼雅今日必被處死。」於是所羅門王派耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅去擊殺亞多尼雅，他就死了。

我曾告訴他，我必永遠懲罰他的家，因為他知道自己的兒子作惡，褻瀆神，卻不禁止他們。

你們為何踐踏我所吩咐獻在我居所的祭物和供物呢？你為何尊重你的兒子過於尊重我，將我百姓以色列所獻美好的祭物都拿去養肥你們自己呢？』

你的兩個兒子何弗尼、非尼哈所遭遇的事是給你的預兆：他們二人必在同一日死亡。

他父親從來沒有責怪他，說：「你為何這麼做？」他非常俊美，生在押沙龍之後。

我要作他的父，他要作我的子；他若犯了罪，我必用人的杖，用世人的鞭責罰他。

愚昧迷住孩童的心，用管教的杖可以遠遠趕除。

堅固門徒的心，勸他們持守他們的信仰，說：「我們進入神的國，必須經歷許多艱難。」
