As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?

你们所忍受的，是神管教你们，待你们如同待儿子。焉有儿子不被父亲管教的呢？

为了受管教，你们要忍受。上帝待你们如同待儿女。哪有儿女不被父亲管教的呢？

爾之忍乃為受懲、上帝待爾如子矣、焉有子而父不懲之者乎、

爾既受責、上帝待爾若子、焉有子而父不責之者乎、

爾若受懲、則是天主待爾如子、焉有父而不懲其子者乎、

是知爾所遭受之一切苦痛、所以予爾以磨練也。天主以爾為子、故待爾如此。夫焉有子而不蒙嚴訓者乎？

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?

Put up with hard times. God uses them to train you. He is treating you as his children. What children are not trained by their parents?

It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?

Endure suffering as discipline: God is dealing with you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?

It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?

If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?

It is for chastening that ye endure; God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chasteneth not?

Endure suffering as discipline: God is dealing with you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Endure your suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?

It is for discipline that you endure. God deals with you as with children, for what son is there whom his father doesn’t discipline?

Discipline your children while there is hope. Otherwise you will ruin their lives.

To discipline a child produces wisdom, but a mother is disgraced by an undisciplined child.

Those who spare the rod of discipline hate their children. Those who love their children care enough to discipline them.

Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good.

Discipline your children, and they will give you peace of mind and will make your heart glad.

Don’t fail to discipline your children. The rod of punishment won’t kill them.Physical discipline may well save them from death.

“ Why don’t people say to God,‘ I have sinned, but I will sin no more’?Or‘ I don’t know what evil I have done— tell me. If I have done wrong, I will stop at once’?

The Lord has confirmed me and placed me on the throne of my father, David; he has established my dynasty as he promised. So as surely as the Lord lives, Adonijah will die this very day!”So King Solomon ordered Benaiah son of Jehoiada to execute him, and Adonijah was put to death.

I have warned him that judgment is coming upon his family forever, because his sons are blaspheming God and he hasn’t disciplined them.
