为了接受管教，你们要忍受，因为神待你们好像待儿子一样；哪有儿子不受父亲管教的呢？

是知爾所遭受之一切苦痛、所以予爾以磨練也。天主以爾為子、故待爾如此。夫焉有子而不蒙嚴訓者乎？

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?

Put up with hard times. God uses them to train you. He is treating you as his children. What children are not trained by their parents?

It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?

As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?

因此你心里要明白，耶和华你的神管教你，好像人管教他的儿子一样。

管教你的儿子，他必使你得安息；也必使你的心得喜乐。

要管教孩童，不可姑息，你虽然用杖打他，他也不会死；你要用杖打他，就可以救他的灵魂免下阴间。

有人对神说：‘我忍受了管教，不再有败坏的行为了，我所看不到的求你指教我，我若行了罪孽，必不再行’。

现在，我指着永活的耶和华─那位坚立了我，使我坐在我父亲大卫的王位上，又照他所应许，为我建立家室的─起誓，今天亚多尼雅必被处死！”于是，所罗门王差派耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅去击杀亚多尼雅，他就死了。

我曾告诉他：‘我必按着他所知道的罪孽永远处罚他的家。这罪就是他的儿子自招咒诅，他也不责备他们。’

你们为什么轻视（“轻视”直译是“踢”）我所吩咐要为我居所献上的祭牲和礼物呢？（《马索拉文本》本句意思不明确）你为什么尊重你的儿子过于尊重我，用我子民以色列所献一切最好的礼物自肥呢？’

你的两个儿子何弗尼和非尼哈所要遭遇的事，是给你的一个证据：他们二人必同日而死。

他的父亲从来没有责难他说：“你为什么这样作呢？”他的容貌也很英俊，他是在押沙龙之后生的。

我要作他的父亲，他要作我的儿子，他若是犯了罪，我要用人的刑杖、用世人的鞭子纠正他。

愚妄束缚孩童的心，管教的杖可以把愚妄远远驱除。

坚固门徒的心，劝他们恒守所信的道，又说：“我们进入神的国，必须经历许多苦难。”
