And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: My son, do not take the Lord’s discipline lightly or faint when you are reproved by Him,

你们又忘了那劝你们如同劝儿子的话，说：“我儿，你不可轻看主的管教，被他责备的时候也不可灰心。

你们又忘了上帝劝你们如同劝儿女的那些话，说：“我儿啊，不可轻看主的管教，被他责备的时候不可灰心；

你们又忘了神劝你们如同劝儿女的那些话，说：“我儿啊，不可轻看主的管教，被他责备的时候不可灰心；

你们难道忘了那像劝勉儿子一样劝勉你们的话吗？“孩子啊，不可轻视主的管教，被祂责备的时候也不要灰心。

你们又忘记了那劝你们好像劝儿子的话，说：“我儿！你不可轻看主的管教，受责备的时候也不要灰心；

难道你们已经忘记那安慰的话吗？就是他对你们如同对儿女那样讲论的话：“我儿，你不可轻看主的管教；被他责备的时候，也不可丧气。

難道你們已經忘記那安慰的話嗎？就是他對你們如同對兒女那樣講論的話：「我兒，你不可輕看主的管教；被他責備的時候，也不可喪氣。

又忘勸爾之言、如諭子曰、吾子乎、主懲爾、勿輕視、受其譴、勿喪志、

爾不憶上帝、勸勉爾若子曰、子乎、主責爾、勿輕視、主譴爾、勿喪膽、

爾曹又遺忘勸爾如子之言曰、我子、主懲爾、勿藐視、主責爾、勿喪膽、

夫天主訓爾如子、爾豈已忘之乎？其言曰：『吾兒莫輕鍛鍊恩、受主懲責毋灰心；

And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,“ My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,

Have you completely forgotten this word of hope? It speaks to you as a father to his children. It says,“ My son, think of the Lord’s training as important. Do not lose hope when he corrects you.

And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?“ My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him.

And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said,“ My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you.

And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: My son, do not take the Lord’s discipline lightly or lose heart when you are reproved by him,

and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,“ My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, Nor faint when you are punished by Him;

And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:“ My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;

and ye have forgotten the exhortation which reasoneth with you as with sons, My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when thou art reproved of him;

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

And have you forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons?“ My son, do not scorn the Lord’s discipline or give up when he corrects you.

You have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children,“ My son, don’t take lightly the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by him;

Do not despise the Lord’s instruction, my son, and do not loathe His discipline;for the Lord disciplines the one He loves, just as a father, the son he delights in.

See how happy the man is God corrects; so do not reject the discipline of the Almighty.For He crushes but also binds up; He strikes, but His hands also heal.

As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent.

but when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord, so that we may not be condemned with the world.

Lord, happy is the man You discipline and teach from Your law

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, so that you won’t grow weary and lose heart.In struggling against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

A man who endures trials is blessed, because when he passes the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

The Lord disciplined me severely but did not give me over to death.

My life is constantly in danger, yet I do not forget Your instruction.

We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair;we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed.

“ Only be on your guard and diligently watch yourselves, so that you don’t forget the things your eyes have seen and so that they don’t slip from your mind as long as you live. Teach them to your children and your grandchildren.The day you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, the Lord said to me,‘ Assemble the people before Me, and I will let them hear My words, so that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth and may instruct their children.’

I have heard Ephraim moaning,“ You disciplined me, and I have been disciplined like an untrained calf. Restore me, and I will return, for you, Lord, are my God.

I know, Lord, that Your judgments are just and that You have afflicted me fairly.

Then the Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah, and God struck him dead on the spot for his irreverence, and he died there next to the ark of God.David was angry because of the Lord’s outburst against Uzzah, so he named that place an Outburst Against Uzzah, as it is today.David feared the Lord that day and said,“ How can the ark of the Lord ever come to me?”So he was not willing to move the ark of the Lord to the city of David; instead, he took it to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

He said to them,“ You are the heads of the Levite families. You and your relatives must consecrate yourselves so that you may bring the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it.For the Lord our God burst out in anger against us because you Levites were not with us the first time, for we didn’t inquire of Him about the proper procedures.”

Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger; do not discipline me in Your wrath.Be gracious to me, Lord, for I am weak; heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking;

I will delight in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.

“ Oh, Lord God,” Joshua said,“ why did You ever bring these people across the Jordan to hand us over to the Amorites for our destruction? If only we had been content to remain on the other side of the Jordan!What can I say, Lord, now that Israel has turned its back and run from its enemies?When the Canaanites and all who live in the land hear about this, they will surround us and wipe out our name from the earth. Then what will You do about Your great name?”The Lord then said to Joshua,“ Stand up! Why are you on the ground?Israel has sinned. They have violated My covenant that I appointed for them. They have taken some of what was set apart. They have stolen, deceived, and put the things with their own belongings.

My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;

Suppose someone says to God,“ I have endured my punishment; I will no longer act wickedly.

Endure suffering as discipline: God is dealing with you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?

But He said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, catastrophes, persecutions, and in pressures, because of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

“ He is not here, but He has been resurrected! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,

Get wisdom, get understanding; don’t forget or turn away from the words of my mouth.

Though I have become like a wineskin dried by smoke, I do not forget Your statutes.

And they remembered His words.

When they came to Chidon’s threshing floor, Uzzah reached out to hold the ark because the oxen had stumbled.Then the Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah, and He struck him dead because he had reached out to the ark. So he died there in the presence of God.David was angry because of the Lord’s outburst against Uzzah, so he named that place Outburst Against Uzzah, as it is still named today.David feared God that day and said,“ How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?”So David did not move the ark of God home to the city of David; instead, he took it to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

Don’t you understand yet? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the 5,000 and how many baskets you collected?Or the seven loaves for the 4,000 and how many large baskets you collected?
