to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,

You have come to the church of God’s people. God’s first and only Son is over all things. God’s people share in what belongs to his Son. Their names are written in heaven. You have come to God, who is the Judge of all people. You have come to the spirits of godly people who have been made perfect.

and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,

You have come to the assembly of God’s firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God himself, who is the judge over all things. You have come to the spirits of the righteous ones in heaven who have now been made perfect.

Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”

Rise up, Judge of the earth, Pay back retribution to the proud.

And just as it is destined for people to die once, and after this comes judgment,

Then you shall say to Pharaoh,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ Israel is My son, My firstborn.

because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect.

In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.

Far be it from You to do such a thing, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly?”

For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, by having served and by still serving the saints.And we desire that each one of you demonstrate the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end,so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and endurance inherit the promises.

And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

This is a plain indication of God’s righteous judgment so that you will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you indeed are suffering.For after all it is only right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us, when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels

And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and made Him head over all things to the church,

By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he was attested to be righteous, God testifying about his gifts, and through faith, though he is dead, he still speaks.

Before the Lord, for He is coming, For He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, And the peoples in His faithfulness.

I said to him,“ My lord, you know.” And he said to me,“ These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.They will no longer hunger nor thirst, nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any scorching heat;for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

All who live on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slaughtered.

These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are celibate. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from mankind as first fruits to God and to the Lamb.

Before the Lord, for He is coming to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness And the peoples with fairness.

“ But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;and He will put the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left.“ Then the King will say to those on His right,‘ Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man.

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose.But I am hard pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;

But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

But now, if You will forgive their sin, very well; but if not, please wipe me out from Your book which You have written!”

Not that I have already grasped it all or have already become perfect, but I press on if I may also take hold of that for which I was even taken hold of by Christ Jesus.Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.Therefore, all who are mature, let’s have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that to you as well;however, let’s keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.Brothers and sisters, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even as I weep, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ,whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who have their minds on earthly things.For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;who will transform the body of our lowly condition into conformity with His glorious body, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

and while being abusively insulted, He did not insult in return; while suffering, He did not threaten, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

( but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?),

A God greatly feared in the council of the holy ones, And awesome above all those who are around Him?

On the contrary, he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the unloved wife, by giving him a double portion of everything that he owns, for he was the beginning of his strength; to him belongs the right of the firstborn.

I will also make him My firstborn, The highest of the kings of the earth.

Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.

but we are of good courage and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart, In the company of the upright and in the assembly.

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

“ Gather My godly ones to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judge. Selah

Indeed, true companion, I ask you also, help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement as well as the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

May they be wiped out of the book of life, And may they not be recorded with the righteous.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am supplementing what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions in behalf of His body, which is the church.

“ Sanctify to Me every firstborn, the firstborn of every womb among the sons of Israel, among people and animals alike; it belongs to Me.”

But when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written:“ Death has been swallowed up in victory.

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I also have been fully known.

then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

They will come with weeping, And by pleading I will bring them; I will lead them by streams of waters, On a straight path on which they will not stumble; For I am a father to Israel, And Ephraim is My firstborn.”
