For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you demonstrated for his name by serving the saints— and by continuing to serve them.Now we desire each of you to demonstrate the same diligence for the full assurance of your hope until the end,so that you won’t become lazy but will be imitators of those who inherit the promises through faith and perseverance.

And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

It is clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment that you will be counted worthy of God’s kingdom, for which you also are suffering,since it is just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict youand to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,

And he subjected everything under his feet and appointed him as head over everything for the church,

By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was approved as a righteous man, because God approved his gifts, and even though he is dead, he still speaks through his faith.

These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women, since they remained virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were redeemed from humanity as the firstfruits for God and the Lamb.

Now if you would only forgive their sin. But if not, please erase me from the book you have written.”

Not that I have already reached the goal or am already perfect, but I make every effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ Jesus.Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead,I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.Therefore, let all of us who are mature think this way. And if you think differently about anything, God will reveal this also to you.In any case, we should live up to whatever truth we have attained.Join in imitating me, brothers and sisters, and pay careful attention to those who live according to the example you have in us.For I have often told you, and now say again with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.Their end is destruction; their god is their stomach; their glory is in their shame; and they are focused on earthly things.Our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly wait for a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of his glorious body, by the power that enables him to subject everything to himself.

when he was insulted, he did not insult in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten but entrusted himself to the one who judges justly.

God is greatly feared in the council of the holy ones, more awe-inspiring than all who surround him.

He must acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the neglected wife, by giving him two shares of his estate, for he is the firstfruits of his virility; he has the rights of the firstborn.

I will also make him my firstborn, greatest of the kings of the earth.

And just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we will also bear the image of the man of heaven.

In fact, we are confident, and we would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

Let them be erased from the book of life and not be recorded with the righteous.

They will come weeping, but I will bring them back with consolation. I will lead them to wadis filled with water, by a smooth way where they will not stumble, for I am Israel’s Father, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
