應知爾今所陟者、非一有形之山、其上有火焰靉靆、幽冥暴風。

You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm;

You haven’t come to a mountain that can be touched. You haven’t come to a mountain burning with fire. You haven’t come to darkness, gloom and storm.

For you have not come to what may be touched, a blazing fire and darkness and gloom and a tempest

You have not come to a physical mountain, to a place of flaming fire, darkness, gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai.

那時你們走近前來，站在山下；山上有火燒着，火燄沖到天中心，又有黑暗、密雲、暗霧。

眾民見了雷轟、閃電、角聲和山上冒着煙；就懼怕，直發顫，遠遠地站着。

『這些話、永恆主在山上、從火中、密雲中、暗霧中、大聲對你們全體大眾講過，並沒有加添；他把這些話寫在兩塊石版上，交給了我。你們聽見有聲音從黑暗中發出、那時山上有火燒着，你們就走近我來，你們族派中所有的首領和你們的長老都來，說：「看哪，永恆主我們的上帝將他的榮光和他的至大向我們顯現，我們又聽見他的聲音從火中發出；今日我們居然見上帝和人說話，而人還活着。現在這大火將要燒滅我們，我們又何必冒死呢？我們若再聽見永恆主我們的上帝的聲音，就會死的。因為血肉之人誰曾聽見過永活的上帝從火中說話的聲音，像我們聽見了，還能活着呢？

永恆主之榮耀的形狀、在以色列人眼前、就像燒燬東西的火在山頂上。

因為上帝並不是賜給我們膽怯之靈、乃是賜能力愛心和修練之靈。

你們並不是領受了奴役之靈，以致重陷於懼怕；你們乃是領受了被立為子的靈；憑着這樣的靈、我們來呼叫：「阿爸！父啊！」的。

引致定罪的職事尚且有榮光，引致稱義的職事就越滿溢着榮光了。

你要在四圍給人民定界線，說：「你們要小心、不可上山來，也不可觸着山的邊界；凡觸着山的一定會被處死。不可用手觸着他，必須拿石頭打死，或是用箭射透：無論是牲口、是人，都不得以活的。」當號角聲拉長的時候，他們才可以上山根來。』摩西從山上來、到人民那裏，叫人民要潔淨為聖，他們就把自己的衣裳洗淨。他對人民說：『要豫備好了、來赴第三天；不可接觸女人。』到了第三天、早晨的時候，在山上有雷轟、閃電和濃雲；號角聲強大的很，營裏人民盡都顫抖。摩西率領人民出營去迎接上帝；他們都在山下站着。西奈山全都冒煙，因為永恆主在火中降臨山上；山的煙往上冒，就像燒窰的煙一般：整個的山震顫得極厲害。號角聲越來越強、強到極點，摩西就說話，上帝在雷轟中回答他。永恆主降臨在西乃山、臨到那山頂上；永恆主召摩西上山頂，摩西就上去。永恆主對摩西說：『你下去警告人民，恐怕他們闖過來到永恆主面前來觀看，以致他們中間有許多人會倒斃。連挨近永恆主的祭司也要潔淨自己為聖，恐怕永恆主突破界限來擊殺他們。』

罪就不能做主管轄你們了；因為你們不在律法之下，乃在恩典之下。
