Genesis 27:30-41
Now it came about, as soon as Isaac had finished blessing Jacob, and Jacob had hardly gone out from the presence of his father Isaac, that his brother Esau came in from his hunting. Then he also made a delicious meal, and brought it to his father; and he said to his father,“ Let my father arise and eat of his son’s game, that you may bless me.”His father Isaac said to him,“ Who are you?” And he said,“ I am your son, your firstborn, Esau.”Then Isaac trembled violently, and said,“ Who then was he who hunted game and brought it to me, so that I ate from all of it before you came, and blessed him? Yes, and he shall be blessed.”When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried out with an exceedingly great and bitter cry, and said to his father,“ Bless me, me as well, my father!”And he said,“ Your brother came deceitfully and has taken away your blessing.”Then Esau said,“ Is he not rightly named Jacob, for he has betrayed me these two times? He took away my birthright, and behold, now he has taken away my blessing.” And he said,“ Have you not reserved a blessing for me?”But Isaac replied to Esau,“ Behold, I have made him your master, and I have given to him all his relatives as servants; and with grain and new wine I have sustained him. What then can I do for you, my son?”Esau said to his father,“ Do you have only one blessing, my father? Bless me, me as well, my father.” So Esau raised his voice and wept. Then his father Isaac answered and said to him,“ Behold, away from the fertility of the earth shall be your dwelling, And away from the dew of heaven from above. And by your sword you shall live, And you shall serve your brother; But it shall come about when you become restless, That you will break his yoke from your neck.”So Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him; and Esau said to himself,“ The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.”

“ Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin standing outside and knocking on the door, saying,‘ Lord, open up to us!’ and He then will answer and say to you,‘ I do not know where you are from.’Then you will begin saying,‘ We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets!’And yet He will say,‘ I do not know where you are from; leave Me, all you evildoers.’

Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.

Proverbs 1:24-31
Because I called and you refused, I stretched out my hand and no one paid attention; And you neglected all my advice And did not want my rebuke;I will also laugh at your disaster; I will mock when your dread comes,When your dread comes like a storm And your disaster comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently but will not find me,Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord. They did not accept my advice, They disdainfully rejected every rebuke from me.So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own schemes.

Hebrews 10:26-29
For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries.Anyone who has ignored the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severe punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
