「後來其餘的童女也來了，說：『主啊，主啊，請給我們開門！』「但是新郎回答說：『我確實地告訴你們：我不認識你們。』

但如果它長出荊棘和蒺藜，就沒有用處了，很快就要被詛咒，它的結局就是被焚燒。

那時候，我要向他們宣告：『我從來不認識你們。離開我，你們這些作惡的人！』

以撒祝福完雅各，雅各剛從父親以撒面前離去，他哥哥以掃就打獵回來了。以掃也做了美食，拿給他父親，對父親說：「我父啊，請起來，吃你兒子的野味，好為我祝福。」他父親以撒對他說：「你是誰呢？」他說：「我是你的兒子，你的長子以掃。」以撒就大大戰兢，說：「是誰打了野味，剛剛拿給我呢？在你來之前，我已經全吃了；我也祝福了那人，他將來必蒙祝福。」以掃聽了他父親的話，就極其痛苦地號啕大哭，對父親說：「我父啊，祝福我，也祝福我吧！」以撒說：「你弟弟心懷詭計地前來，已經奪取了你的祝福。」以掃說：「他的名字叫雅各不是名副其實嗎？他兩次都欺騙了我：他先奪取了我長子的名份，看哪，他現在又奪取了我的祝福！」以掃又說：「難道你沒有留下什麼祝福給我嗎？」以撒就回答以掃，說：「看哪，我已經立他為你的主人，又把他所有的兄弟給他為僕人，並把五穀和新酒供給了他。我兒啊，現在我還能為你做什麼呢？」以掃對他父親說：「我父啊，難道你只有這一個祝福嗎？我父啊，求你也祝福我！」以掃就放聲大哭。他父親以撒回答他，說：「看哪，你居住之處必遠離地上的豐饒，遠離天上的甘露。你必靠著你的刀劍生存，也必服事你的弟弟；到了你奮起反抗的時候，你必從頸項上掙脫他的軛。」以掃因父親祝福了雅各，就怨恨雅各。以掃對自己說：「為父親舉哀的日子臨近了，之後我就要殺死弟弟雅各。」

「你們要為進窄門而爭戰，因為我告訴你們：將有許多人想要進去，卻是不能。等到那家的主人起來關了門，你們才開始站在外面敲門，說：『主啊，請給我們開門！』主人就會回答你們，說：『我不知道你們是從哪裡來的。』那時你們就開始說：『我們曾經在你面前吃過、喝過，你也曾經在我們的大街上教導過！』他要對你們說：『我不知道你們是從哪裡來的。離開我，你們所有不義的工人！』

原來，如果有人蒙過一次光照、嘗過屬天恩賜的滋味、曾經與聖靈有份、嘗過神美善的話語和將要來臨之世代的權能，卻背棄了真理，就不可能再次更新以至於悔改了。因為他們親自把神的兒子再次釘上十字架，公然羞辱他。

既然我呼喚了，你們拒絕，我伸出了手，沒有人留心，你們忽視了我一切的勸告，也沒有接受我的責備；那麼，你們遭難時，我就譏笑；你們的恐懼臨到時，我就嘲笑——那時，恐懼像風暴那樣臨到，災難像旋風那樣來臨，患難和困苦臨到你們身上。那時，他們將呼求我，我卻不回應；他們將切切尋找我，卻找不到。正是因為他們恨惡知識，沒有選擇敬畏耶和華，沒有接受我的勸告，藐視了我一切的責備，所以他們將吃盡自己行為的果實，飽嘗自己計謀的後果。

要知道，我們領受了真理的知識以後，如果還故意犯罪，就不再有贖罪的祭物被保留下來；只保留了對審判的可怕等待，和那將要吞滅敵對者的嫉恨之火。任何拒絕摩西律法的人，憑兩個或三個見證人的見證，就得不到憐憫而死，何況一個人踐踏了神的兒子，把那使自己成聖的立約之血看做是俗物，又侮辱了恩典的聖靈，你們想想，這個人難道不該受更厲害的懲罰嗎？
