See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;

慎之哉、恐有失上帝恩者、恐有苦根發萌以擾爾、致眾玷污、

慎勿失上帝恩、恐有若惡草、根株滋長、妨爾浼眾、

當謹慎、恐爾中有失天主之恩者、恐有毒根滋長、妨礙爾眾、使多人染穢污、

又宜互相檢點、莫使有一人退化、而自絕於天主之聖寵；莫使辛螫之根苗、萌櫱滋蔓、為厲之階、而令眾人受其沾染；

See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

Be sure that no one misses out on God’s grace. See to it that a bitter plant doesn’t grow up. If it does, it will cause trouble. And it will make many people impure.

See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no“ root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;

Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.

You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace.

And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—

Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough?

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,keep yourselves in the love of God, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

Yet I planted you as a choice vine, A completely faithful seed. How then have you turned yourself before Me Into the degenerate shoots of a foreign vine?

Therefore, we must fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it.

Do not be deceived:“ Bad company corrupts good morals.”

Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;and let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds,not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries.Anyone who has ignored the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.How much more severe punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?For we know Him who said,“ Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” And again,“ The Lord will judge His people.”It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.But remember the former days, when, after being enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings,partly by being made a public spectacle through insults and distress, and partly by becoming companions with those who were so treated.For you showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves a better and lasting possession.Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.

Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found spotless and blameless by Him, at peace,

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you— unless indeed you fail the test?

For their vine is from the vine of Sodom, And from the fields of Gomorrah; Their grapes are grapes of poison, Their clusters, bitter.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choice of you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;

And we desire that each one of you demonstrate the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end,

Is the wrongdoing of Peor not enough for us, from which we have not cleansed ourselves to this day, although a plague came on the congregation of the Lord,that you must turn away this day from following the Lord? If you rebel against the Lord today, He will be angry with the entire congregation of Israel tomorrow.If, however, the land of your possession is unclean, then cross into the land of the possession of the Lord, where the Lord’s tabernacle stands, and settle among us. Only do not rebel against the Lord, or rebel against us, by building an altar for yourselves besides the altar of the Lord our God.Did Achan the son of Zerah not act unfaithfully in the things designated for destruction, and wrath fall on the entire congregation of Israel? So that man did not perish alone in his guilt.’ ”

But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints;

Therefore let the one who thinks he stands watch out that he does not fall.

For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it.For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every violation and act of disobedience received a just punishment,

For the vineyard of the Lord of armies is the house of Israel, And the people of Judah are His delightful plant. So He waited for justice, but behold, there was bloodshed; For righteousness, but behold, a cry for help.

“ Only be careful for yourself and watch over your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and your grandsons.

What more was there to do for My vineyard that I have not done in it? Why, when I expected it to produce good grapes did it produce worthless ones?

You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they?So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.

but I have prayed for you, that your faith will not fail; and you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

And Joshua said,“ Why have you brought disaster on us? The Lord will bring disaster on you this day.” And all Israel stoned them with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones.Then they erected over him a large heap of stones that stands to this day, and the Lord turned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Achor to this day.

Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.

The rest of the Jews joined him in hypocrisy, with the result that even Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy.

He will give up Israel because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he committed and with which he misled Israel into sin.”

Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience.

But false prophets also appeared among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.Many will follow their indecent behavior, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned;

Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

Then Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you, that you have brought such a great sin upon them?”

Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.

Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with.

For, while speaking out arrogant words of no value they entice by fleshly desires, by indecent behavior, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error,

But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness,and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,

But as for you, only keep yourselves from the things designated for destruction, so that you do not covet them and take some of the designated things, and turn the camp of Israel into something designated for destruction and bring disaster on it.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.Everyone who competes in the games exercises self control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.Therefore I run in such a way as not to run aimlessly; I box in such a way, as to avoid hitting air;but I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things to draw away the disciples after them.Therefore, be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears.
