For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.

They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them.

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.

For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person— such a person is an idolater— has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

“ Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.”

Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;one Lord, one faith, one baptism;one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.This is why it says:“ When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.”

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

And quarreling arose between Abram’s herders and Lot’s. The Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land at that time.So Abram said to Lot,“ Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives.Is not the whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.”

So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying,“ It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”

And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;

Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

Judgment will again be founded on righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it.

Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.

Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.

Therefore,“ Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”

in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.

The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Those who repay my good with evil lodge accusations against me, though I seek only to do what is good.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

then that person can pray to God and find favor with him, they will see God’s face and shout for joy; he will restore them to full well- being.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
