惟智慧之自上來者、本質純粹、故其為德也、和平雍容、溫柔恭順、富於惻隱、多結善果、而無偏激矯情之弊。和平之人、寧靜播種弗助弗忘、終必收穫正義之果也。

主之懲我。允其厲矣。未至於死。亦其慈矣。

夫肉身之父之教訓吾人也，不過數春、且多憑其私意而行之；若夫天主之所為、則必於吾人為有益、欲使吾人同化於彼之聖德耳。

樂道之人。和氣內蘊。有倚何蹶。有恃無恐。

因是爾當拓開心胸、歡欣雀躍。蓋爾目前雖不免殷憂多難、

若夫聖神之果、則為仁愛、神樂、安怡、忍耐、慈祥、良善、忠信、溫恭、克己、凡此種種非律法所能制裁也。

惟長成之人能吸收乾糧、蓋平素涵養純熟、故能明辨是非、密察善惡、絲毫不爽耳。

凡世俗之寓言、及村嫗之神話、慎毋注意。惟宜兢兢業業、修身砥行、以達聖域。蓋『鍛鍊身體、其益猶小；鍛鍊德性、其益莫大、無論今生來生、享受無窮矣。』

金科與玉律。棄置不復遵。

究竟天主之國、不在飲食、惟在正義和平、與夫怡然自得於聖神之中耳。

心懷叵測、為玷為辱；眸子不正、惟見邪淫；意志薄弱者、受其誘惑；惟利是圖、實地獄中人也。
