子不肖當責之、蓋尚有可望、但爾心不可願其死、

生我身之父、暫時任意懲我、惟賦畀我神之父懲我、乃為我之益、使我成聖、可同於彼、

愛慕主律法者、必大享平康、凡其所行、毫無窒礙、

緣此爾曹歡樂、雖今不免受諸艱之試而暫憂、

棄正道者、必受嚴刑、惡督責者、必致死亡、

義之功效乃綏安、義之結果乃寧靜康泰、至於永遠、

聖神所結之果、即仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、慈悲、良善、忠信、溫柔、節制、如此者、無律法禁止、

惟成人方食堅實之食、其心因習練而明、能別善惡矣、

虛誕之詞、屬老媼不經之談、爾當棄之、惟練習虔敬、蓋身之練習、其益少、惟虔敬、則凡事皆益、有今生來生之應許、

我即以杖責其罪愆、以梃罰其過犯、

蓋天主國不在飲食、乃在義與和與聖神所賜之樂也、

其目充於姦淫、獲罪不已、誘惑不堅者之心、慣於貪婪、是為可詛之輩、
