By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

Noah had faith. So he built an ark to save his family. He built it because of his great respect for God. God had warned him about things that could not yet be seen. Because of his faith Noah showed the world that it was guilty. Because of his faith he was considered right with God.

So He wiped out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from mankind to animals, to crawling things, and the birds of the sky, and they were wiped out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.

A prudent person sees evil and hides himself; But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.

And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of Man:

The men of Nineveh will stand up with this generation at the judgment, and will condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.The Queen of the South will rise up with this generation at the judgment and will condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.

and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

through which the world at that time was destroyed by being flooded with water.

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them,“ You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Behold, about this time tomorrow, I will send a very heavy hail, such as has not been seen in Egypt from the day it was founded until now.So now, send word, bring your livestock and whatever you have in the field to safety. Every person and animal that is found in the field and is not brought home, when the hail comes down on them, will die.” ’ ”Everyone among the servants of Pharaoh who feared the word of the Lord hurried to bring his servants and his livestock into the houses;but everyone who did not pay regard to the word of the Lord left his servants and his livestock in the field.

So Noah acted in accordance with everything that the Lord had commanded him.

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written:“ But the righteous one will live by faith.”

Behold, I have told you in advance.

These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.

Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen.
