地上各類生物、自人及六畜百獸昆蟲飛鳥、皆滅於地、獨挪亞與在舟者得存、

明哲者見害則避、愚拙者冒往遭刑、

主天主曰、雖挪亞、但以理、約百居於其中、我指己永生而誓、彼不能救其子女、但能因其義救一己之生命、

人子臨時、正如挪亞時、

耶穌基督之僕及使徒西門彼得、書達凡賴我天主及我救主耶穌基督之義、共得此至寶之信者、

亦未惜先古之世、以洪水罰彼不虔敬之惡世、惟救傳義道之挪亞等八人、

即天主因人信耶穌基督所賜之義、賜諸信者、悉無區別、

我儕賴聖神、而由信有望、俟得稱義、

尼尼微人當審判時、將起而罪此世、因尼尼微人聽約拿所宣而悔改、而在此有大於約拿者、南方女王當審判時、將起而罪此世、因女王來自地極、欲聽所羅門之哲言、而在此有大於所羅門者、○

使我得義、非由律法、乃由信基督、即天主因信所賜之義、

當時之世、亦為水所滅、即在洪水汎濫之時也、

約翰見法利賽與撒度該教人、亦多就己受洗、謂之曰、蝮類乎、誰示爾避將來之怒乎、

羅得出、謂將娶其二女之壻曰、起、出此處、主將滅是邑、其壻以為戲言、

明哲人見害則避、愚拙人冒往遭刑、

人子歟、我為以色列人立爾為守望者、爾由我口聽言、代我示之以警戒、我言惡人必死、如爾不警此惡人、不以言勸戒、使彼離其惡行、以獲生命、惡人必死於罪、而其喪命之罪、我必責問於爾、而其喪命之罪我必責問於爾原文作而其血必討於爾手下同如爾警戒惡人、彼仍不悛改、不去惡事、不離惡途、則彼必死於罪、惟爾則自保生命、自保生命或作救己下同

彼受割禮之號、即未受割禮時、因信而稱義之印證、使其為凡未受割禮而信者之父、使彼亦得稱義、

及子婦出方舟、

爾觀先知但以理所言、殘賊可惡之物、立於聖地、讀者當悟之、

是則何言、異邦人不尋義而得義、即由信之義、

惟由信之義如斯云、勿心內曰、孰能升天、言使基督降下、

在洪水先、人皆飲食嫁娶、迨挪亞入方舟之日、

基督在世為人之時、原文作基督在肉體之時大聲號泣、祈禱籲懇能救其免死者、遂蒙應允、解其憂懼、遂蒙應允解其憂懼或作因有敬畏之心即蒙允聽

明日此時、必大雨雹、自伊及開國以來、未有如此之甚、今當遣人使爾群畜、及田間所有皆避匿、蓋凡在田不歸者、無論人畜、被雹擊必死、法老之臣僕中畏懼主言者、使僕與畜趨歸於舍、惟不以主言為意者、則遺僕與畜在田、○

南方女王、當審判時、將起而罪此世之人、因彼自地極而來、欲聽所羅門之哲言、而在此有大於所羅門者、尼尼微人、當審判時、將起而罪此世代、因尼尼微人聽約拿所勸而悔改、而在此有大於約拿者、○

挪亞悉遵主所命而行、

蓋天主之義、顯於此福音、使人由信愈信、如經載云、義人因信得生、○

此事我預告爾、

挪亞紀畧如左、挪亞於當世、為義人完人、奉事天主、

夫信使人以所望者為實、為實或作為必得為未見者之據、
