By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.

以诺因着信，被接去，不至于见死，人也找不着他，因为神已经把他接去了；只是他被接去以先，已经得了神喜悦他的明证。

伊諾被攝昇天、未嘗見死、蓋「天主攝之、人間無得而再遇、」是亦信德之效也。何則、彼於被攝之前、固已得見悅於天主之明證。

By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death:“ He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

Enoch had faith. So he was taken from this life. He didn’t die.“ He couldn’t be found, because God had taken him away.”( Genesis 5:24) Before God took him, Enoch was praised as one who pleased God.

It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying—“ he disappeared, because God took him.” For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God.

And as they still went on and talked, behold, chariots of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

What man can live and never see death? Who can deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah

Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.”The Jews said to him,“ Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say,‘ If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.’

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

And they said to him,“ Behold now, there are with your servants fifty strong men. Please let them go and seek your master. It may be that the Spirit of the Lord has caught him up and cast him upon some mountain or into some valley.” And he said,“ You shall not send.”But when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said,“ Send.” They sent therefore fifty men. And for three days they sought him but did not find him.

It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying,“ Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones,

For three and a half days some from the peoples and tribes and languages and nations will gaze at their dead bodies and refuse to let them be placed in a tomb,and those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and make merry and exchange presents, because these two prophets had been a torment to those who dwell on the earth.But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them,“ Come up here!” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them.

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts.

And the king commanded Jerahmeel the king’s son and Seraiah the son of Azriel and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel to seize Baruch the secretary and Jeremiah the prophet, but the Lord hid them.
