By faith Enoch was taken away, and so he did not experience death. He was not to be found because God took him away. For before he was taken away, he was approved as one who pleased God.

以诺因着信，被接去，不至于见死，人也找不着他，因为神已经把他接去了；只是他被接去以先，已经得了神喜悦他的明证。

伊諾被攝昇天、未嘗見死、蓋「天主攝之、人間無得而再遇、」是亦信德之效也。何則、彼於被攝之前、固已得見悅於天主之明證。

By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death:“ He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

Enoch had faith. So he was taken from this life. He didn’t die.“ He couldn’t be found, because God had taken him away.”( Genesis 5:24) Before God took him, Enoch was praised as one who pleased God.

By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.

Enoch was 65 years old when he fathered Methuselah.And after he fathered Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and fathered other sons and daughters.So Enoch’s life lasted 365 years.Enoch walked with God; then he was not there because God took him.

As they continued walking and talking, a chariot of fire with horses of fire suddenly appeared and separated the two of them. Then Elijah went up into heaven in the whirlwind.

What courageous person can live and never see death? Who can save himself from the power of Sheol? Selah

Truly I tell you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.”Then the Jews said,“ Now we know you have a demon. Abraham died and so did the prophets. You say,‘ If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.’

Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Then the sons of the prophets said to Elisha,“ Since there are fifty strong men here with your servants, please let them go and search for your master. Maybe the Spirit of the LORD has carried him away and put him on one of the mountains or into one of the valleys.” He answered,“ Don’t send them.”However, they urged him to the point of embarrassment, so he said,“ Send them.” They sent fifty men, who looked for three days but did not find him.

It was about these that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied:“ Look! The Lord comes with tens of thousands of his holy ones

And some of the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations will view their bodies for three and a half days and not permit their bodies to be put into a tomb.Those who live on the earth will gloat over them and celebrate and send gifts to one another because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.But after three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet. Great fear fell on those who saw them.Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them,“ Come up here.” They went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies watched them.

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was approved as a righteous man, because God approved his gifts, and even though he is dead, he still speaks through his faith.

Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.

Instead, just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please people, but rather God, who examines our hearts.

Then the king commanded Jerahmeel the king’s son, Seraiah son of Azriel, and Shelemiah son of Abdeel to seize the scribe Baruch and the prophet Jeremiah, but the LORD hid them.
