保羅知道有一部分人是撒都該人，另一部分是法利賽人，就在議會中喊著：「各位兄弟，我是法利賽人，也是法利賽人的兒子。我現在受審，是與死人復活的盼望有關。」

彼得伸手扶她站起來，又叫聖徒們和寡婦們進來，把活過來的多卡絲交給他們。

當人從死人中復活以後，他們既不娶也不嫁，而是像諸天之上的天使一樣。

事實上，他們再也不會死，因為就與天使一樣；他們既然是復活的兒女，就是神的兒女了。

並且要出來——行善的人復活得生命，作惡的人復活被定罪。

千夫長下令把保羅押進營樓，吩咐鞭打拷問他，要了解民眾是因什麼理由向他這樣一直喊叫。當士兵們用皮條捆上保羅的時候，他對站在旁邊的百夫長說：「你們鞭打一個沒有被定罪的羅馬公民，可以嗎？」
