By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.

那時，他想起古時的日子，就是摩西和他子民的日子：那把他們和他群羊的牧人們從海裡帶上來的，在哪裡呢？那把他的聖靈降在他們當中的，在哪裡呢？那讓自己榮耀的膀臂在摩西右邊作工，在他們面前把水分開，為自己成就永遠之名的，在哪裡呢？那領他們走過深淵的，在哪裡呢？他們像曠野中的馬沒有絆跌；耶和華的靈使他們得享安息，好像牲畜下到山谷得享安息。你這樣引領了你的子民，為自己成就榮耀之名。求你從天上垂看，從你聖潔、榮耀的崇高居所觀看！你的熱心和你的大能在哪裡呢？你內心的激情和你的憐憫向我們止住了。即使亞伯拉罕不認識我們，以色列不承認我們，你還是我們的父。耶和華啊，你是我們的父！自古以來，你的名字就是「我們的救贖主」。

耶和華將使埃及的海灣枯乾，他在大河之上揮手發出暴熱的風，把它打破為七條溪流，使人可以穿著鞋走過去。必有一條從亞述而來的大道，為他子民中殘留的餘剩者所預備，就像以色列人從埃及地上來之日，為他們所預備的那樣。

耶和華的膀臂啊，醒來，醒來，以力量為衣！醒來吧，就像你在太初的日子、亙古的世代！從前砍碎拉哈伯、刺透海中巨獸的，難道不是你嗎？使海洋深淵之水乾涸的，使海洋深處變為道路，讓救贖之民經過的，難道不是你嗎？

當以色列從埃及出來，雅各家離開言語陌生之民的時候，猶大成為耶和華的聖所，以色列成為他的國度。海水看見了就逃跑，約旦河也倒流。群山跳躍如公羊，岡陵跳躍如羊羔。海水啊，你為什麼逃跑呢？約旦河啊，你為什麼倒流呢？

他曾把海變成乾地，眾人曾步行過河——在那裡，讓我們因他而歡喜！

當稱謝那把紅海分為兩邊的，因他的慈愛永遠長存！他使以色列從其中經過，因他的慈愛永遠長存！卻把法老和他的軍隊抖落在紅海中，因他的慈愛永遠長存！
