彼以信而去埃及、不畏王怒、蓋堅忍如見莫能見者、

摩西有信、則離埃及不惴王怒、其恆心如見無形之上帝、

彼有信、離伊及不畏王怒、彼有恆心、如見不可見者、

厥後又憑信德、不恤君王之震怒、而逃出埃及。蓋其心目中常有形而上之天主、故能百折不撓、磨而不磷也。

By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.

Because of his faith, Moses left Egypt. It wasn’t because he was afraid of the king’s anger. He didn’t let anything stop him. That’s because he saw the God who can’t be seen.

By faith he left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured as seeing him who is invisible.

It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.

By faith he left Egypt behind, not being afraid of the king’s anger, for Moses persevered as one who sees him who is invisible.

By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he persevered, as though seeing Him who is unseen.

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and embraced them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.

He said,“ Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you plan to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian?” Moses was afraid, and said,“ Surely this thing is known.”Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and lived in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

When Pharaoh came near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.They said to Moses,“ Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying,‘ Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?’ For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”Moses said to the people,“ Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today; for you will never again see the Egyptians whom you have seen today.

Pharaoh said to him,“ Get away from me! Be careful to see my face no more; for in the day you see my face you shall die!”Moses said,“ You have spoken well. I will see your face again no more.”

All the children of Israel did so. As Yahweh commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.

I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

He alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen.

Yahweh said to Moses in Midian,“ Go, return into Egypt; for all the men who sought your life are dead.”

The children of Israel traveled from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot who were men, in addition to children.A mixed multitude went up also with them, with flocks, herds, and even very much livestock.They baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought out of Egypt; for it wasn’t leavened, because they were thrust out of Egypt, and couldn’t wait, and they had not prepared any food for themselves.Now the time that the children of Israel lived in Egypt was four hundred thirty years.At the end of four hundred thirty years, to the day, all of Yahweh’s armies went out from the land of Egypt.It is a night to be much observed to Yahweh for bringing them out from the land of Egypt. This is that night of Yahweh, to be much observed by all the children of Israel throughout their generations.

This is how you shall eat it: with your belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is Yahweh’s Passover.

But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings;

looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.For consider him who has endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, that you don’t grow weary, fainting in your souls.

But he who endures to the end will be saved.

When Pharaoh had let the people go, God didn’t lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said,“ Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and they return to Egypt”;but God led the people around by the way of the wilderness by the Red Sea; and the children of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt.Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had made the children of Israel swear, saying,“ God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones away from here with you.”They took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.Yahweh went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them on their way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light, that they might go by day and by night:

For David says concerning him,‘ I saw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.

whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,

All these servants of yours will come down to me, and bow down themselves to me, saying,“ Get out, with all the people who follow you;” and after that I will go out.’” He went out from Pharaoh in hot anger.

You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.

Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

Thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

They have no root in themselves, but are short- lived. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble.

You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
