夫主固知予之窘狀兮。一身受垢而蒙辱。吾敵無數兮。悉在爾目。

善人縱清苦。猶勝惡人富。

蓋基督神靈、啟迪先知之衷、故彼等能逆知基督之先苦後樂、與夫其事之成於何時何世。

因此亦宜出而就之於營外、而與之共受垢辱。

不惟自身受垢蒙辱、若優伶之演劇、供眾一粲；即同道中有遭此垢辱者、爾等亦莫不痛苦身受。

爾其慎旃。施濟行善、不可徇人耳目；不然、不能望報於爾在天之父矣。

然昔以為得、今以為失：無他、為基督之故也。

俾爾洞識真主；開爾靈眼、俾明聖召之希望無窮、諸聖光榮嗣業之蘊藏無限、

爾之憂患、爾之窮乏、吾所知也。雖然、爾實貧而富者也！彼自名為義塞人而非義塞人、實屬沙殫之黨羽者、謗爾誣爾、吾亦知之。
