懷妊生子、見子岐嶷、匿之三月。不可復匿、則取雈為箱、以石油瀝青塗之、納之其中、置於河濱雈間、子之姊遙立、視其若何。○是時法老女臨河而浴、其婢遊於河濱、王女見葦間有箱、遣婢取之、啟見有子在焉、子哭、憐之曰、此希百來人子。子之姊謂法老女曰、我往招希百來乳媼、以哺此子、如何。曰可。乃往招其母。法老女謂之曰、為我哺此子、我予汝值。婦取子哺之。子少長、母攜見法老女、法老女以為己子、命名摩西、蓋曰、我拯之於水。○

吾友乎、吾語汝、殺爾身、後別無所為者、勿懼、我示爾所當懼者、即殺後、又有權投爾於地獄、我誠告爾、當懼者此也、

雅各家以色列族、素若蚯蚓、我耶和華乃爾聖主、必加拯救、眷祐爾躬。

殺身而不能殺魂者、勿懼、惟能殺身及魂於地獄者、甚可懼也、

但以理聞王已鈐印誌、則歸啟牖、向耶路撒冷屈膝曲跽、日凡三次、循其常例、禱告祝謝上帝、

耶和華曰、我慰藉爾、斯世之人、俱將淪亡、儗於草萊、何為畏之。

上帝之命、予頌美之、予惟上帝是恃、世人攻我、予無所畏兮、

諳悉仁義、服膺我法者、宜聽我言、人侮慢爾、爾勿畏葸。

曰、彼言二國要盟、爾勿從而和之、彼畏葸、爾勿畏葸。我萬有之主耶和華、爾當敬恪尊崇、我將扞衛爾、惟以色列二族及耶路撒冷居民反是、故我必譴之、若蹶於磐石、若墮於機檻。
