那女人怀孕，生了一个儿子，见他俊美，就把他藏了三个月，后来不能再藏，就取了一个蒲草箱，抹上柏油和树脂，将孩子放在里面，把箱子搁在尼罗河边的芦苇中。孩子的姊姊远远站着，要知道他究竟会怎样。法老的女儿来到尼罗河边洗澡，她的女仆们在河边行走。她看见在芦苇中的箱子，就派一个使女把它拿来。她打开箱子，看见那孩子。看哪，男孩在哭，她就可怜他，说：“这是希伯来人的一个孩子。”孩子的姊姊对法老的女儿说：“我去叫一个希伯来妇人来作奶妈，替你乳养这孩子，好吗？”法老的女儿对她说：“去吧！”那女孩就去叫了孩子的母亲来。法老的女儿对她说：“你把这孩子抱去，替我乳养这孩子，我必给你工钱。”那妇人就把孩子接过来，乳养他。孩子长大了，妇人把他带到法老的女儿那里，就作了她的儿子。她给孩子起名叫摩西，说：“因我把他从水里拉出来。”

“我的朋友，我对你们说，那最多只能杀人身体而不能再做什么的，不要怕他们。我提醒你们该怕的是谁：该怕那杀了以后又有权柄把人扔在地狱里的。是的，我告诉你们，正要怕他。

虫子雅各，以色列人哪，不要害怕！我必帮助你；救赎你的是以色列的圣者。这是耶和华说的。

那杀人身体但不能灭人灵魂的，不要怕他们；惟有那能在地狱里毁灭身体和灵魂的，才要怕他。

耶和华在我这边，我必不惧怕，人能把我怎么样呢？

所以，我们可以勇敢地说：“主是我的帮助，我必不惧怕。人能把我怎么样呢？”

你不要害怕，因为我与你同在；不要惊惶，因为我是你的上帝。我必坚固你，帮助你，用我公义的右手扶持你。

沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌对王说：“尼布甲尼撒啊，这件事我们不必回答你，即便如此，我们所事奉的上帝能将我们从烈火的窑中救出来。王啊，他必救我们脱离你的手；即或不然，王啊，你当知道，我们绝不事奉你的神明，也不拜你所立的金像。”

但以理知道这文件已经签署，就进自己的家，他家楼上的窗户开向耶路撒冷。他一天三次，双膝跪着，在他的上帝面前祷告感谢，像平常一样。

我，惟有我是安慰你们的。你是谁，竟怕那必死的人，怕那生命如草的世人，

我倚靠上帝，我要赞美他的话语；我倚靠上帝，必不惧怕。血肉之躯能把我怎么样呢？

知道公义、将我的训诲存在心中的人哪，当听从我！不要怕人的辱骂，也不要因人的毁谤惊惶。

“这百姓说同谋背叛的，你们不要说同谋背叛。他们所怕的，你们不要怕，也不要畏惧；但要尊万军之耶和华为圣，他才是你们所当怕的，所当畏惧的。
