Then she put the child in it and set it among the reeds by the bank of the Nile.And his sister stood at a distance to find out what would happen to him.Now the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the Nile, with her female attendants walking alongside the Nile; and she saw the basket among the reeds and sent her slave woman, and she brought it to her.When she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the boy was crying. And she had pity on him and said,“ This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter,“ Shall I go and call a woman for you who is nursing from the Hebrew women, so that she may nurse the child for you?”Pharaoh’s daughter said to her,“ Go ahead.” So the girl went and called the child’s mother.Then Pharaoh’s daughter said to her,“ Take this child away and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages.” So the woman took the child and nursed him.And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son. And she named him Moses, and said,“ Because I drew him out of the water.”

“ Now I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do.But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed someone, has the power to throw that person into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!

Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you people of Israel; I will help you,” declares the Lord,“ and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

The Lord is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?

so that we confidently say,“ The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”

Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will also help you, I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego replied to the king,“ Nebuchadnezzar, we are not in need of an answer to give you concerning this matter.If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will rescue us from your hand, O king.But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods nor worship the golden statue that you have set up.”

Now when Daniel learned that the document was signed, he entered his house( and in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and offering praise before his God, just as he had been doing previously.

“ I, I Myself, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of mortal man, And of a son of man who is made like grass,

In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, A people in whose heart is My Law; Do not fear the taunting of people, Nor be terrified of their abuses.

“ You are not to say,‘ It is a conspiracy!’ Regarding everything that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.It is the Lord of armies whom you are to regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, And He shall be your dread.
