就在那時候，摩西出生了。他在神的眼裡十分俊美，在父親家裡被撫養了三個月。

「我的朋友，我告訴你們：不要怕那些殺了身體以後不能再做什麼的人。我要指示你們該懼怕的是誰：你們當懼怕那殺了身體以後，又有權把人扔進地獄的那一位。是的，我告訴你們：當懼怕這一位。

幼蟲雅各啊，以色列人哪，不要害怕，我必幫助你！你的救贖主是以色列的聖者！這是耶和華的宣告。

你們不要怕那些能殺死身體卻不能殺死靈魂的；反而倒要懼怕那位能把靈魂和身體都毀滅在地獄裡的。

耶和華在我這邊，我就不害怕；人能對我做什麼呢？

所以，我們可以滿懷勇氣地說：「主是我的幫助，我就不懼怕，人能把我怎麼樣呢？」

你不要害怕，因為我與你同在；不要驚惶，因為我是你的神。我必堅固你，必定幫助你，必定用我公義的右手扶持你。

沙德拉克、米沙克、亞伯尼哥回答尼布甲尼撒王，說：「對於這事，我們不需要回應你。如果真被扔進火窯中，我們所事奉的神也能從烈火燃燒的窯中拯救我們；王啊，他必從你的手中拯救我們！即或不然，王啊，你要知道，我們也絕不會事奉你的神明，不會向你所立的金像膜拜！」

但以理知道這文書已經簽署了，回到自己的家裡——他閣樓上的窗戶朝耶路撒冷開著——仍然一天三次雙膝跪下，在他的神面前禱告、感謝，就像以前那樣做。

「我，是我安慰你們；你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被棄如草芥的世人；

靠著神，我要讚美他的話；依靠神，我就不害怕，血肉之軀能對我做什麼呢？

「你們這些認識公義、把我的律法存在心裡的子民哪，要聽我的話！你們不要害怕人的辱罵，也不要因他們的毀謗而喪膽。

「凡這子民所稱為陰謀的，你們不要稱為陰謀；他們所怕的，你們不要害怕，也不要畏懼。萬軍之耶和華是你們要尊為聖的，他才是你們要怕的，也是你們要畏懼的。
