亞伯拉罕心裏想，就是從死人中、上帝也能叫人甦活起來；因此在表樣的意義上說、他也真地得回了以撒呀。

在亞伯拉罕所信的上帝面前，就是在那能叫死人活、能呼叫不存在的成為存在者、面前，亞伯拉罕是我眾人的父；正如經上所記：『我立了你做許多邦國的父』。他在無可指望時、仍然存着指望而信，就按所說『你的後裔將要如此』的話做了許多邦國的父。他看透了自己的身體像已死了的（那時他已將近百歲），又看透了撒拉胎孕機能之死絕，卻沒有在信心上顯着衰弱，也沒有以不信之心去疑惑上帝的應許，反而在信心上得了能力而堅固，而將榮耀歸與上帝，並且堅確地相信、有話應許的、上帝必有能力實行。

第三天、亞伯拉罕舉目，遠遠地看那地方。亞伯拉罕對他的僮僕說：『你們同驢在這裏等候着；我和兒童往那裏去敬拜，就回到你們這裏來。』

耶穌進了屋子，瞎子上他跟前來。耶穌對他們說：『你們信我能作這事麼？』他們對他說，『主啊，我們信。』

亞伯拉罕舉目一看，見後面有隻公綿羊、兩角扣住在稠密小樹裏；亞伯拉罕就去取了那隻公綿羊，獻上做燔祭、來代替他的兒子。

願榮耀都歸與他，就是能照那運行在我們中間的大能力、格外充滿地成就一切超過我們所求所了悟的；

因着信、連撒拉雖過了生育歲數的時期，還能獲得能力而孕懷後裔，因為她以那發應許的為可信可靠；故此竟從一個人、又是彷彿死了的、生出子孫來，像天上的星辰那麼眾多，像海濱的沙那麼無數。

因為基督並不是進了人手造的聖所、真聖所的模型、乃是進了上天本境，如今替我們顯在上帝面前的。

然而從亞當到摩西、連那些不按亞當犯法的樣子去犯罪的人，死也掌了王權去管轄他們。亞當原是後來要到的那位之豫像。
