我们得救的人有这个盼望。不过，看得见的盼望根本不算盼望，因为谁会盼望已经看见的呢？

“耶和华啊，求你垂听我的祷告，倾听我的呼求，别对我的眼泪视若无睹。因为我在你面前只是客旅，是寄居的，正如我的祖先。

“我是寄居在你们这里的异乡人，请你们给我一块地，我好埋葬我的亡妻。”

这些人都因信心而获得赞许，但他们并未得到上帝的应许，

他凭信心离开埃及，不怕王的愤怒。他坚忍不拔，好像看见了肉眼不能看见的主。

我知道我的救赎主活着，最后祂必站在地上。

雅各回答说：“我在世上寄居一百三十年了，我的日子又苦又短，不像我祖先那样高寿。”

从此，你们不再是外人或过客，你们与众圣徒一样是天国的子民，是上帝家里的人了。

享尽天年，寿终正寝，归到他祖先那里。

“耶和华啊，我切切等候你的拯救。

我实在告诉你们，以前有许多先知和义人曾渴望看见你们所看见的，听见你们所听见的，却未能如愿。

有关这救恩，那些预言恩典要临到你们的众先知早已详细寻求查考了。基督的灵曾在他们心中指示他们，预言基督要受苦，然后得荣耀。他们便详细查考这些事会在什么时候、什么情况下发生。他们得到启示，知道他们传讲这些事不是为了自己，而是为了你们。现在，那些靠着从天上差来的圣灵向你们传福音的人，已经将这些事传给你们了。连天使也想把这些事看个明白。

他完全相信上帝必能实现祂的应许。

以撒说：“我年老了，不知道还能活多久。现在，带着你的弓箭去田野为我打些野味来，照我喜欢的口味，做成美食给我吃，以便我在死前给你祝福。”

亲爱的弟兄姊妹，你们是客旅，是寄居的，我劝你们要禁戒与灵魂为敌的邪情私欲。

既然你们称呼那位按各人的行为公正无私地审判人的上帝为父，就应该存着敬畏的心过你们在世上寄居的日子。

一天，约瑟对他的弟兄们说：“我快要死了，但上帝必看顾你们，带你们离开这里，回到祂起誓应许给亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的地方。”

我在世上是过客，求你不要向我隐藏你的命令。

“我算什么，我的人民算什么，怎么配向你奉献？因为万物都从你而来，我们只是把从你那里得来的献给你。我们在你面前只是客旅，是寄居的，像我们祖先一样；我们在世的日子就像影子一样转瞬即逝。

雅各嘱咐完众子，在床上躺下，咽了气，去他祖先那里了。

我所见的尚未发生，我目睹的关乎将来。一颗星要从雅各家升起，一位君王要从以色列兴起。他要打烂摩押的前额，击碎舍特人的头颅。

以赛亚看见了祂的荣耀，所以才这样说。

王权必不离犹大，御杖必伴他左右，直到那位执掌王权的来到，万民都必归顺他。

以上是以色列的十二支派，他们的父亲按着他们不同的福分给他们祝福。
