“ What are your many sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord.“ I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fattened cattle; And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats.

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will name Him Immanuel.

You have not desired sacrifice and meal offering; You have opened my ears; You have not required burnt offering and sin offering.Then I said,“ Behold, I have come; It is written of me in the scroll of the book.I delight to do Your will, my God; Your Law is within my heart.”

and He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.

But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,“ Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.She will give birth to a Son; and you shall name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”Now all this took place so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled:“ Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall name Him Immanuel,” which translated means,“ God with us.”

And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says,“ And let all the angels of God worship Him.”

By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.

Then I said,‘ Behold, I have come( It is written of Me in the scroll of the book) To do Your will, O God.’ ”

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,

I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices, And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.I will not take a bull from your house, Nor male goats from your folds.For every animal of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.I know every bird of the mountains, And everything that moves in the field is Mine.If I were hungry I would not tell you, For the world is Mine, and everything it contains.Shall I eat the flesh of bulls Or drink the blood of male goats?Offer God a sacrifice of thanksgiving And pay your vows to the Most High;Call upon Me on the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”But to the wicked God says,“ What right do you have to tell of My statutes And to take My covenant in your mouth?For you yourself hate discipline, And you throw My words behind you.When you see a thief, you become friends with him, And you associate with adulterers.You let your mouth loose in evil, And your tongue harnesses deceit.You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.These things you have done and I kept silent; You thought that I was just like you; I will rebuke you and present the case before your eyes.“ Now consider this, you who forget God, Or I will tear you in pieces, and there will be no one to save you.He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who sets his way properly I will show the salvation of God.”

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

The angel answered and said to her,“ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; for that reason also the holy Child will be called the Son of God.

And I will make enemies Of you and the woman, And of your offspring and her Descendant; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise Him on the heel.”

“ I hate, I reject your festivals, Nor do I delight in your festive assemblies.Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them; And I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fattened oxen.

How long will you waver, You rebellious daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing on the earth: A woman will shelter a man.”

Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.

By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and now it is already in the world.

and said to Him,“ Are You the Coming One, or are we to look for someone else?”

For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices; so it is necessary that this high priest also have something to offer.

And after summoning two of his disciples, John sent them to the Lord, saying,“ Are You the Coming One, or are we to look for another?”

For what purpose does frankincense come to Me from Sheba, And the sweet cane from a distant land? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable And your sacrifices are not pleasing to Me.”
