不惟自身受垢蒙辱、若優伶之演劇、供眾一粲；即同道中有遭此垢辱者、爾等亦莫不痛苦身受。

Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.

然而，你們能和我分擔憂患是一件好事。

我必將可憎污穢之物拋在你身上，使你被藐視，為眾人所觀看。

上帝啊，求你起來為自己辯護！求你記念愚頑人怎樣終日辱罵你。

我為你們眾人有這樣的想法原是應當的，因為你們常在我心裏；無論我是在捆鎖中，在辯明並證實福音的時候，你們都與我一同蒙恩。

許多人看我為異類，但你是我堅固的避難所。

主啊，求你將我們鄰邦所加給你的羞辱七倍歸到他們身上。

這樣，我們也當走出營外，到他那裏去，忍受他所受的凌辱。

約書亞大祭司啊，你和坐在你面前的同伴都當聽，因為他們是作預兆的：看哪，我必使我僕人大衛的苗裔長出。

所以，不要以給我們的主作見證為恥，也不要以我這為主被囚的為恥；總要靠着上帝的大能，與我為福音同受苦難。

他把為彌賽亞受凌辱看得比埃及的財物更寶貴，因為他想望所要得的賞賜。

耶和華啊，這是你仇敵所加的羞辱，羞辱了你受膏者的腳蹤。

又有人忍受戲弄、鞭打、捆鎖、監禁、各等的磨煉；

願主憐憫阿尼色弗一家的人，因為他屢次令我欣慰。他不以我的鐵鏈為恥，反而一到羅馬就急切尋找我，並且找到了。願主使他在那日能蒙主的憐憫。他在以弗所怎樣多服事我，你是清楚知道的。

為基督的緣故，我以軟弱、凌辱、艱難、迫害、困苦為可喜樂的事；因為我甚麼時候軟弱，甚麼時候就剛強了。
