主啊，願你將我們鄰國所羞辱你的羞辱加七倍歸到他們衣兜裏。

這樣，我們也當出到營外去找他，去擔當他所受的辱罵。

大祭司約書亞啊，你和坐在你面前的同伴都是好兆頭的人，你們都要聽！看吧！我必使我僕人大衛、那稱為樹苗的、發生出來。

所以你不要以給我們的主作見證為恥，也不要以我這為他做囚犯的為恥；總要按照上帝的能力、為着福音一同喫苦。

因為他看被膏者所要受的辱罵、比埃及的寶藏為更大的財富：他轉臉注視着那賞報。

永恆主啊，這就是你的仇敵所羞辱你僕人的；這就是敵人所羞辱你膏立者的腳蹤。

又另有人受了戲弄和鞭打、甚至捆鎖和監禁的經驗。

『認識公義、將我的律法存於心中的人民哪，聽我吧！不要怕人的辱罵，不要因人的毁謗而驚慌；

因為這為你的殿之熱心把我燒得急死了；而辱罵你的辱罵都落到我身上來了。

願主賜憐憫給阿尼色弗一家的人！因為他屢次使我蘇爽，又不以我的鎖鍊為恥。反倒在羅馬時、急切地尋找我，而且找到了。（願主賜他在那日子從主那裏找到憐憫！）在以弗所他怎樣多方作服事的工，你則比我更明白了。

故此我為基督的緣故、就以種種的軟弱、凌辱、艱難、逼迫和困迫、為可喜悅；因為我甚麼時候軟弱，我甚麼時候就有能力而剛強。
