他看為基督受的凌辱比埃及的財物更寶貴，因他想望所要得的賞賜。

知道公義、將我訓誨存在心中的民，要聽我言！不要怕人的辱罵，也不要因人的毀謗驚惶。

因我為你的殿心裏焦急，如同火燒，並且辱罵你人的辱罵都落在我身上。

願主憐憫阿尼色弗一家的人；因他屢次使我暢快，不以我的鎖鍊為恥，反倒在羅馬的時候，殷勤地找我，並且找着了。願主使他在那日得主的憐憫。他在以弗所怎樣多多地服事我，是你明明知道的。

我為基督的緣故，就以軟弱、凌辱、急難、逼迫、困苦為可喜樂的；因我甚麼時候軟弱，甚麼時候就剛強了。
