Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.

然而，你们一同分担了我的患难，实在是好的。

我要把污秽可憎之物抛在你身上，侮辱你，使你成为众人观看的对象。

神啊！求你起来，为你的案件辩护，要记得愚顽人终日对你的辱骂。

为你们众人我有这样的思想是很恰当的，因为你们常常在我的心里，无论我是在捆锁之中，或是在辩护和证实福音的时候，你们都和我一同分享神的恩典。

众人都以我为怪，但你是我坚固的避难所。

主啊！愿你把我们邻国羞辱你的羞辱，七倍归还在他们身上。

那么，让我们也出到营外到他那里去，担当他的凌辱。

大祭司约书亚啊！你和坐在你面前的众同伴都要听，（他们都是预表将来奇事的人，）我必使我的仆人，就是大卫的苗裔出生。

所以，不要以给我们的主作见证当作羞耻，也不要以我这为主被囚的当作羞耻，却要为了福音的缘故，靠着神的大能，与我同受磨难。

在他看来，为着基督受的凌辱，比埃及的财物更宝贵，因为他注视将来的赏赐。

耶和华啊！你的仇敌用这羞辱羞辱了你的仆人，羞辱了你受膏者的脚踪。

又有些人遭受了戏弄、鞭打，甚至捆锁、监禁；

认识公义，把我的训诲存在心里的人民哪！你们要听我的话。你们不要怕人的辱骂，也不要因人的毁谤而惊惶。

因我为你的殿，心中迫切如同火烧；辱骂你的人的辱骂，都落在我身上。

愿主赐怜悯给阿尼色弗一家的人，因为他多次使我畅快，也不以我的锁链为耻；他竟然来到罗马，迫切地寻找我，结果找到了。（愿主在那日使他从主那里得着怜悯。）你也清楚知道他在以弗所是怎样多方服事我。

因此，我为基督的缘故，就以软弱、凌辱、艰难、迫害、困苦为喜乐，因为我什么时候软弱，什么时候就刚强了。
