Anyone who disregarded the law of Moses died without mercy, based on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

如果有人干犯了摩西的律法，凭着两三个证人，他尚且得不到怜悯而死；

如果有人干犯了摩西的律法，憑著兩三個證人，他尚且得不到憐憫而死；

一個人干犯了摩西的律法，憑着兩個或三個見證人的話，就必須死，不能得憐憫。

任何拒絕摩西律法的人，憑兩個或三個見證人的見證，就得不到憐憫而死，

拒摩西之律者、有二三人為證、其死無恤、

昔有犯摩西律法者、若二三人為證、必殺之不恤、

若有犯摩西律法者、二三人作證、必殺之無赦、

昔人干犯摩西律法、根據二三人之證言、尚且殺之無貸；

Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

Suppose someone did not obey the law of Moses. And suppose two or three witnesses made charges against them. That person would die without mercy.

Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses.

For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

Anyone who has ignored the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

A man that hath set at nought Moses’ law dieth without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses:

If anyone disregards Moses’ law, he dies without mercy, based on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Someone who rejected the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

A man who disregards Moses’ law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses.

For if the message spoken through angels was legally binding and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment,

“ One witness cannot establish any iniquity or sin against a person, whatever that person has done. A fact must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

But if he won’t listen, take one or two others with you, so that by the testimony of two or three witnesses every fact may be established.

Even in your law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true.

When its branches dry out, they will be broken off. Women will come and make fires with them, for they are not a people with understanding. Therefore their Maker will not have compassion on them, and their Creator will not be gracious to them.

Why then have you despised the LORD’s command by doing what I consider evil? You struck down Uriah the Hethite with the sword and took his wife as your own wife— you murdered him with the Ammonite’s sword.

This is the third time I am coming to you. Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

I will smash them against each other, fathers and sons alike— this is the LORD’s declaration. I will allow no mercy, pity, or compassion to keep me from destroying them.’”

“ But the person who acts defiantly, whether native or resident alien, blasphemes the LORD. That person is to be cut off from his people.He will certainly be cut off, because he has despised the LORD’s word and broken his command; his guilt remains on him.”

David responded to Nathan,“ I have sinned against the LORD.” Then Nathan replied to David,“ And the LORD has taken away your sin; you will not die.

So the entire community brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

Do not look on him with pity but purge from Israel the guilt of shedding innocent blood, and you will prosper.

“ If a man or woman among you in one of your towns that the LORD your God will give you is discovered doing evil in the sight of the LORD your God and violating his covenantand has gone to serve other gods by bowing in worship to the sun, moon, or all the stars in the sky— which I have forbidden—and if you are told or hear about it, then investigate it thoroughly. If the report turns out to be true that this detestable act has been done in Israel,you are to bring out to your city gates that man or woman who has done this evil thing and stone them to death.The one condemned to die is to be executed on the testimony of two or three witnesses. No one is to be executed on the testimony of a single witness.The witnesses’ hands are to be the first in putting him to death, and after that, the hands of all the people. You must purge the evil from you.“ If a case is too difficult for you— concerning bloodshed, lawsuits, or assaults— cases disputed at your city gates, then go up to the place the LORD your God chooses.You are to go to the Levitical priests and to the judge who presides at that time. Ask, and they will give you a verdict in the case.You must abide by the verdict they give you at the place the LORD chooses. Be careful to do exactly as they instruct you.You must abide by the instruction they give you and the verdict they announce to you. Do not turn to the right or the left from the decision they declare to you.The person who acts arrogantly, refusing to listen either to the priest who stands there serving the LORD your God or to the judge, must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.Then all the people will hear about it, be afraid, and no longer behave arrogantly.

For he tells Moses, I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

For judgment is without mercy to the one who has not shown mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

“ If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you embrace, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying,‘ Let’s go and worship other gods’— which neither you nor your ancestors have known,any of the gods of the peoples around you, near you or far from you, from one end of the earth to the other—do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity, and do not spare him or shield him.Instead, you must kill him. Your hand is to be the first against him to put him to death, and then the hands of all the people.Stone him to death for trying to turn you away from the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.
