Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“ Peace be with you.”Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.”Thomas answered him,“ My Lord and my God!”Jesus said to him,“ Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James.All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.

When you come together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat.

Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand;

You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates.Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.

Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.

It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.

So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,

As we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit of divination and brought her owners much gain by fortune-telling.

If, therefore, the whole church comes together and all speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are out of your minds?
