且既有大祭司宰上帝家、

我得大祭司、理上帝宮、

且既有大祭司、理天主之家、

今吾人在天主宅中、既有偌大之司祭矣；

and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house,

and since we have a great high priest over the house of God,

and having a High Priest over the house of God,

and having a great priest over God’s house,

Wherefore it behooved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

but if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how men ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Now in the things which we are saying the chief point is this: We have such a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

whither as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Having then a great high priest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need.

For such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus;

For he hath been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by so much as he that built the house hath more honor than the house.For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken;but Christ as a son, over his house; whose house are we, if we hold fast our boldness and the glorying of our hope firm unto the end.

For we are God’s fellow- workers: ye are God’s husbandry, God’s building.According to the grace of God which was given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder I laid a foundation; and another buildeth thereon. But let each man take heed how he buildeth thereon.For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.But if any man buildeth on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble;each man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man’s work of what sort it is.If any man’s work shall abide which he built thereon, he shall receive a reward.If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as through fire.Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?If any man destroyeth the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.

And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

So then ye are no more strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow- citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone;in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;in whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

And what agreement hath a temple of God with idols? for we are a temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.Wherefore Come ye out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, And touch no unclean thing; And I will receive you,
