於是哈該應聲地說：『永恆主發神諭說：在我面前這人民也是這樣，這國也是這樣；他們手下的各樣農作物都是這樣：他們在這裏所供獻的都是不潔淨。

于是哈该说：“耶和华说：这民这国，在我面前也是如此；他们手下的各样工作都是如此；他们在坛上所献的也是如此。”

于是哈该说：“耶和华说，在我面前这民如此，这国也是如此；他们手里的各样工作都是如此；他们在那里所献的都不洁净。”

于是哈该说：“耶和华说，在我面前这民如此，这国也是如此；他们手里的各样工作都是如此；他们在那里所献的都不洁净。”

于是哈该说：“耶和华说，‘这百姓和这国家在我面前也是如此。他们手中的各样工作和他们在那里所献的都不洁净。’

于是哈该回答，说：“耶和华说：‘这民也是这样，这国在我面前也是这样；他们手里的一切工作，都是这样；他们在那里所献的，都是不洁净的。’

於是哈該說：「耶和華說：這民這國，在我面前也是如此；他們手下的各樣工作都是如此；他們在壇上所獻的也是如此。」

於是哈該說：「耶和華說，在我面前這民如此，這國也是如此；他們手裏的各樣工作都是如此；他們在那裏所獻的都不潔淨。」

於是哈該說：「耶和華說，在我面前這民如此，這國也是如此；他們手裏的各樣工作都是如此；他們在那裏所獻的都不潔淨。」

於是哈該說：「耶和華說，『這百姓和這國家在我面前也是如此。他們手中的各樣工作和他們在那裡所獻的都不潔淨。』

於是哈該回答，說：“耶和華說：‘這民也是這樣，這國在我面前也是這樣；他們手裡的一切工作，都是這樣；他們在那裡所獻的，都是不潔淨的。’

哈該曰、耶和華云、斯民斯族於我前亦若是、其手所作之工、及所獻之物、皆為不潔、

哈基又曰、耶和華曰、此國之民、其身不潔、所行之事、所獻之物、亦蒙不潔、

哈該曰、主曰、斯民斯族於我前、亦若是不潔、其手所作者不潔、原文作哈該曰主曰斯民斯族於我前亦如是其手所作者亦如是在此此原文作彼所獻者不潔、

Then Haggai said,“‘ So it is with this people and this nation in my sight,’ declares the Lord.‘ Whatever they do and whatever they offer there is defiled.

Then here is what Haggai said.“ The Lord announces,‘ That is how I look at these people and this nation. Anything they do and anything they sacrifice on the altar is“ unclean.”

Then Haggai answered and said,“ So is it with this people, and with this nation before me, declares the Lord, and so with every work of their hands. And what they offer there is unclean.

Then Haggai responded,“ That is how it is with this people and this nation, says the Lord. Everything they do and everything they offer is defiled by their sin.

Then Haggai replied,“ So is this people, and so is this nation before me— this is the LORD’s declaration. And so is every work of their hands; even what they offer there is defiled.

Then Haggai responded and said,“ ‘ So is this people. And so is this nation before Me,’ declares the Lord,‘ and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.

Then Haggai answered and said,“‘ so is this people, and so is this nation before Me,’ says the Lord,‘ and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.

Then answered Haggai and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith Jehovah; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

Then Haggai replied,“ So is this people, and so is this nation before Me”— this is the Lord’s declaration.“ And so is every work of their hands; even what they offer there is defiled.

Then answered Haggai, and said, So[ is] this people, and so[ is] this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so[ is] every work of their hands; and that which they offer there[ is] unclean.

Then Haggai responded,“‘ The people of this nation are unclean in my sight,’ says the LORD.‘ And so is all their effort; everything they offer is also unclean.

Then Haggai answered,“‘ So is this people, and so is this nation before me,’ says Yahweh;‘ and so is every work of their hands. That which they offer there is unclean.

永恆主說：『你們所獻的許多祭物、對我有甚麼益處？公綿羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂油、我飽飫了；公牛的血、羊羔和公山羊的血、我都不喜悅。你們來朝見我，誰向你們要這踐踏我院子的舉動呢？不要再帶虛浮的供物來了；獻祭的燻氣是我所厭惡；月初一和安息日、聚會之召集——禁食和聖節會、我容忍不住。你們的月初一和制定節期、我心裏恨惡：這些已成了累着我的重擔；我都揹得膩了。你們伸開雙手來禱告，我必掩目不看你們；就使你們多多禱告，我也不聽；你們的手都滿了血，你們的指頭滿了罪孽。

轉耳不聽指教的、他的祈禱也可厭惡。

在潔淨的人、凡物都潔淨，在染污的和不信的人、甚麼都不潔淨，反而連他們的心思和良知也都染污了。

惡人的祭物、永恆主所厭惡；正直人的祈禱、上帝所喜悅。

眼高心傲、惡人之炫耀自己都是罪。

約薩達的兒子耶書亞同作祭司的弟兄、跟撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯和他的族弟兄、都起來、築了以色列上帝的祭壇，要照神人摩西律法書上所寫的、在祭壇上獻上燔祭。因為為了四圍各地的族民而起了恐怖的心，他們就在殿的基地上建設了祭壇，早晚在祭壇上向永恆主獻上燔祭。

要拯救、從火中攫出；有些人、你們要存着畏懼的心去憐恤；連那由肉體沾污的裏衣、你們也要恨惡。

惡人的祭物本為可厭惡，何況他存着惡意帶來獻呢！

『這殿荒廢無鑲蓋，而你們自己倒住在有鑲蓋的房屋：難道這就是這樣作的時候麼？如今萬軍之永恆主這麼說：你們要用心想想你們所行的。你們撒種，倒撒的多，收入的卻少；你們喫，卻喫不飽；喝，卻喝不足；有得穿，卻穿不暖；得了工錢，卻把工錢裝到刺破的口袋裏！『萬軍之永恆主這麼說：你們要用心想想你們所行的。你們要上山地取木料，以重建這殿；我就因此喜悅，並且得榮耀：這是永恆主說的。你們向慕着多，你看，卻得的少；你們收到家裏，我給吹去。為甚麼？萬軍之永恆主發神諭說：因為我的殿荒廢，而你們各人卻逕為自己的房屋奔跑啊。故此、為了你們的緣故、天就停降雨露，地也停生土產。我呼叫乾旱臨到了地上山岡，臨到了五穀、新酒、新油、和土地的出產，臨到了人類、牲口、以及人手所勞碌得來的一切東西。』
