You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”

You have planted many seeds. But the crops you have gathered are small. So you eat. But you never have enough. You drink. But you are never full. You put on your clothes. But you are not warm. You earn your pay. But it will not buy everything you need.”

You have sown much, and harvested little. You eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm. And he who earns wages does so to put them into a bag with holes.

在那一切日子，有人来到谷堆，想得二十斗，只得了十斗。有人来到酒池，想得五十桶，只得了二十桶。

因你们通国的人都夺取我的供物，咒诅就临到你们身上。万军之耶和华说：你们要将当纳的十分之一全然送入仓库，使我家有粮，以此试试我，是否为你们敞开天上的窗户，倾福与你们，甚至无处可容。万军之耶和华说：我必为你们斥责蝗虫，不容它毁坏你们的土产。你们田间的葡萄树在未熟之先也不掉果子。

你们盼望多得，所得的却少；你们收到家中，我就吹去。这是为什么呢？因为我的殿荒凉，你们各人却顾自己的房屋。这是万军之耶和华说的。

他们所种的是风，所收的是暴风；所种的不成禾稼，就是发苗也不结实；即便结实，外邦人必吞吃。

你带到田间的种子虽多，收进来的却少，因为被蝗虫吃了。你栽种、修理葡萄园，却不得收葡萄，也不得喝葡萄酒，因为被虫子吃了。你全境有橄榄树，却不得其油抹身，因为树上的橄榄不熟自落了。

他们吃，却不得饱；行淫，而不得立后；因为他们离弃耶和华，不遵他的命。”

田荒凉，地悲哀；因为五谷毁坏，新酒干竭，油也缺乏。农夫啊，你们要惭愧；修理葡萄园的啊，你们要哀号；因为大麦小麦与田间的庄稼都灭绝了。葡萄树枯干；无花果树衰残。石榴树、棕树、苹果树，连田野一切的树木也都枯干；众人的喜乐尽都消灭。祭司啊，你们当腰束麻布痛哭；伺候祭坛的啊，你们要哀号；侍奉我神的啊，你们要来披上麻布过夜，因为素祭和奠祭从你们神的殿中断绝了。

你要吃，却吃不饱；你的虚弱必显在你中间。你必挪去，却不得救护；所救护的，我必交给刀剑。你必撒种，却不得收割；踹橄榄，却不得油抹身；踹葡萄，却不得酒喝。

万军之耶和华说：我必使这书卷出去，进入偷窃人的家和指我名起假誓人的家，必常在他家里，连房屋带木石都毁灭了。”

万军之耶和华说：你们若不听从，也不放在心上，将荣耀归与我的名，我就使咒诅临到你们，使你们的福分变为咒诅；因你们不把诫命放在心上，我已经咒诅你们了。

那日以先，人得不着雇价，牲畜也是如此；且因敌人的缘故，出入之人不得平安，乃因我使众人互相攻击。

她说：“我指着永生耶和华你的神起誓，我没有饼，坛内只有一把面，瓶里只有一点油；我现在找两根柴，回家要为我和我儿子做饼；我们吃了，死就死吧！”

大卫年间有饥荒，一连三年，大卫就求问耶和华。耶和华说：“这饥荒是因扫罗和他流人血之家杀死基遍人。”

他在满足有余的时候，必到狭窄的地步；凡受苦楚的人都必加手在他身上。

自从我们停止向天后烧香、浇奠祭，我们倒缺乏一切，又因刀剑饥荒灭绝。”

我要折断你们的杖，就是断绝你们的粮。那时，必有十个女人在一个炉子给你们烤饼，按分量秤给你们；你们要吃，也吃不饱。

他的家产必然过去；神发怒的日子，他的货物都要消灭。

你们要白白地劳力；因为你们的地不出土产，其上的树木也不结果子。

三十亩葡萄园只出一罢特酒；一贺梅珥谷种只结一伊法粮食。”

他又对我说：“人子啊，我必在耶路撒冷折断他们的杖，就是断绝他们的粮。他们吃饼要按分量，忧虑而吃；喝水也要按制子，惊惶而喝；使他们缺粮缺水，彼此惊惶，因自己的罪孽消灭。”

“我使你们在一切城中牙齿干净，在你们各处粮食缺乏，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“在收割的前三月，我使雨停止，不降在你们那里；我降雨在这城，不降雨在那城；这块地有雨，那块地无雨；无雨的就枯干了。这样，两三城的人凑到一城去找水，却喝不足；你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“我以旱风、霉烂攻击你们，你们园中许多菜蔬、葡萄树、无花果树、橄榄树都被剪虫所吃；你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。

使肥地变为碱地；这都因其间居民的罪恶。

耕地的也蒙羞抱头；因为无雨降在地上，地都干裂。
