You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”

你们受严厉的诅咒，是因为你们在抢夺我，你们全国的人都在抢夺我。”万军之耶和华说：“你们要把当纳的十分之一全都带进库房，好使我的家中有粮食；藉此试验我是否会为你们打开天上的窗户，把祝福倾倒在你们身上，直到你们充足满溢。”万军之耶和华说：“我必为你们斥责吞噬者，使它不毁掉你们土地的出产，也不使你们田地中的葡萄树掉落果实。

你们如果不听从，如果不放在心上，不把荣耀归于我的名，我就使诅咒临到你们，我要诅咒你们应得的祝福。事实上，我已经诅咒了，因为你们不把诫命放在心上。”

四百公亩葡萄园只出二十二公升的酒；二百二十公升谷种只出二十二公升的粮食。”

使结果实的土地成为盐碱地，这都因其上居民的邪恶。
