『萬軍之永恆主這麼說：這人民說：重建永恆主之殿的時候還沒有到。』

万军之耶和华如此说：“这百姓说，建造耶和华殿的时候尚未来到。”

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ These people say,‘ The time has not yet come to rebuild the Lord’s house.’”

Here is what the Lord who rules over all says.“ The people of Judah say,‘ It’s not yet time to rebuild the Lord’ s temple.’ ”

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts: These people say the time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the Lord.”

“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: The people are saying,‘ The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the Lord.’”

“ The LORD of Armies says this: These people say: The time has not come for the house of the LORD to be rebuilt.”

“ This is what the Lord of armies says:‘ This people says,“ The time has not come, the time for the house of the Lord to be rebuilt.” ’ ”

“ Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying:‘ This people says,“ The time has not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.”’”

Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, saying, This people say, It is not the time for us to come, the time for Jehovah’s house to be built.

“ The Lord of Hosts says this: These people say: The time has not come for the house of the Lord to be rebuilt.”

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’S house should be built.

The LORD who rules over all says this:“ These people have said,‘ The time for rebuilding the LORD’s temple has not yet come.’”

“ This is what Yahweh of Armies says: These people say,‘ The time hasn’t yet come, the time for Yahweh’s house to be built.’”

猶大人說：『重苦力的力氣已經衰失，而灰土還多；所以就我們來說，我們是不能建造城牆的。』

但是那些和他一同上去的人說：『我們不能上去攻擊那民族，因為他們比我們強壯。』

那時亞達薛西王的上諭本子唸在利宏和祕書伸帥跟他們的同僚面前，他們就急忙往耶路撒冷去見猶大人，用武力強權迫使他們停工。於是在耶路撒冷上帝之殿的工程就停止了，直停到波斯王大利烏執掌國政的第二年。那時有神言人們、神言人哈該和易多的孫子撒迦利亞、奉以色列之上帝的名傳講神言、鼓勵在猶大和耶路撒冷的猶大人。於是撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯和約薩達的兒子耶書亞都起來，動手重建在耶路撒冷的上帝之殿；同他們在一起的有上帝的神言人在支持着他們。

懶惰人說：『唉呀！外頭有獅子哦！我在廣場上會被暗殺哦！』

凡你的手見得可作的事、你總要盡力去作；因為在你所要去的陰間、那裏沒有工作，沒有設計，沒有知識，也沒有智慧。

老看風勢的、永不撒種；老望雲色的、永不收割。

我躺着睡，我的心卻醒着。呢，我愛人的聲音呢！他敲着門說：『我的妹妹、我的愛侶啊，給我開門吧！我的鴿子，我的十全美人哪！我的頭都滿了露水了，我的頭髮都滿了夜間的露水珠了。』我回答說：『我已脫下內褂，怎能再穿上呢？我洗了腳，怎能再踹髒呢？』

懶惰人說：『哎呀！路上有猛獅哦！廣場之間有壯獅哦！』門扇在樞紐上轉來轉去；懶惰人在床上翻左翻右。懶惰人把手栽在盤子裏，就是縮回來、拿到口裏、也覺得累。懶惰人自以為比七個知趣於應對的人還有智慧。

懼怕人的、乃自設網羅；但倚靠永恆主的、必得到安穩。
